They used new technology and frequently checked for any DNA matches in order to solve the case. Thanks to several of the DNA technological advances, several suspects have been found through this new system. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has now obtained over 750 reference samples with the latest DNA technology. The Boulder Department is working collaboratively with the CBI on future advances in DNA research.
