Barbara and Patricia Grimes

It all started, on December 28, 1956, when Barbara and Patricia went to see the Elvis Presley movie (Love me tender) at the Brighton Park Theater, they were both fans of Elvis Presley and that was the eleventh time they had seen the movie.

They left their house at approximately 7:30 pm, promising her mother that they would return before midnight.

Barbara saved a little money in case her friends were to see the show again.

Even so, after 11:45 pm, neither of them made it home. At approximately 2:00 am M. Loretta noticed that something was wrong with her daughters and called the police. Hundreds of police and civilians joined the search, waiting for both to turn up.

The news of the disappearance began to spread rapidly. The police began to receive clues, such as that both were seen leaving Chicago, or were in an apartment listening to Elvis records, that her friend received a suspicious call two weeks after the disappearance but none of them turned out to be true.

Investigators decided that they both went to Nashvilles to meet Elvis. This theory became so popular that Elvis Presley himself called them on the radio begging them to come back to his house.

A Minnesota woman met the sisters at the train station in Nashvilles.

The mother of both sisters, unfortunately, died without knowing what happened to her daughters.

There are still many details about this disappearance.
