"Where is my sister?" King Nixon demanded in a dangerous tone of voice.
Not only were those present at the throne room scared at the dangerous tone he was using, they were also surprised at his question.
"King Nixon, I'm afraid your sister is not here. No one from the Kingdom of Nirias is here. Right?" Richard asked for support from the ones behind and beside him.
"That's right. No one."
King Nixon turned to look at the young girl beside him, "Lilac." He called the girl.
She raised her head up to look at the King, "Your Majesty, I swear, I am not lying to you. She told me she would come here. I promise you..."
He raised his hand up to signal to the girl, Lilac, to stop talking. She immediately stopped talking according to his order. The whole hall was quiet and the atmosphere was tense.
"If you think you can help her to hide here, then you are making a huge mistake because you will be the ones to be punished. Now for the last time, WHERE.IS.MY.SISTER?!" His voice going higher with each word.
"We do not even know your sister or how she looks like. So how are we supposed to know where she is?" Queen Rita tried to reason with him.
They have to not get him angry else, it would spell doom for them. The Kingdom of Nirias alone was enough to destroy the whole of Mocris not to talk of their own Kingdom, Yoniez.
King Nirias looked at Queen Rita intently as if trying to remember something.
He was distracted by the loud beating of the Drum of Announcement. "GENERAL CYAN OF ROVINDALL!" The Announcer shouted.
General Cyan walked in, fully dressed in her army uniform with Dherek beside her also dressed in his army uniform.
...
Steve got outside the hall but no one except the few guards that were on duty keeping guard was there. He moved downwards a little bit maybe he would see Yoddal but he could not. Not even a glimpse of her hair was in view. Where could she be? Did she not tell him to come out here or did...
PULL!
He was suddenly slammed hard against the the wall. His eyes widened in surprise as he felt a delicate pair of hands against his mouth.
He relaxed a little on seeing that it was only Yoddal, who was currently smiling bright at him.
"What took you so long?" She slowly took her hand away from his mouth, staring at his lips for a second before shaking her head and looking at him.
"I came out immediately you did. How come I took a long time?" He grumbled. "Whatever. Come with me." She grabbed his hand and led him to a place.
"Where are we going?" He asked her. "You just follow me." She said eagerly. Her voice was full of excitement and it levelled up his curiosity.
They finally got to a spot under a big tree. There was nothing special about the tree, just big. The leaves were dried and close to falling off.
To be honest, Steve was expecting something out of the ordinary with how excited she was but all he got was this big, dry tree. "This is it?" He queried.
"I know. lt's nothing special but in my defense, I did not have enough time to truly prepare."
He kept quiet for sometime before smiling. "Shouldn't I be making it up to you? Why are you going through the stress?" He asked her still smiling.
"Because I like you. No, that's not it. Because I am in love with you." She said in an almost sheepish manner. He was shocked by her confession and could not help but stare in rude-shock.
"What? Say something." She brought him out of his state of surprise.
"Uhmm-that was not what I expected." He said after being back to himself. "I know. I tend to surprise people a lot." Yoddal said, looking at him expectantly.
"See Yoddal, I don't know what..." He started but was interrupted by her. "It's okay. You don't have to give me any reply now. I can and will wait. Think about it very well."
"How are you even so sure I'm not taken?" "I've been observing you for some time now and I have never seen a lady around you. " She told him.
He chuckled at her words. She suddenly moved closer to him. "Or do you have one?"
He was taken aback at the sudden intrusion. "Tell me." She further requested. "No." He said in a whisper.
He expected her to move away since her question has been answered but, instead, she leaned in closer. "Good." She said while having her eyes glued on his lips. She leaned closer to him, and closer, and closer till their lips were just a centimetre apart.
His breath stalled and he just looked at her, wondering if she would really do it. Soon enough he got his answer as he felt a soft pair of lips against his.
...
General Cyan walked in with Dherek beside her. 'Is that not the General Cyan?' Everyone wondered.
The Yoniez royal family really out-did themselves. First it was King Nixon of Nirias, and now the great female General. The very first and only one to be precise. If they had know that there would be surprise guests in form of this King and General, then they would have dressed fancier. Every thing would have been fancier. The people further thought.
On getting to the throne room, she bowed slightly to King Richard and Queen Rita. They immediately responded to her greetings.
She looked at General Livius who had a surprise look on his face.
"General Cyan, you came?" He could not help but ask.
"Well, I changed my mind." She answered firmly. "You seem to be doing a lot of mind changing, General." He tried to tease her, with a smile on his face.
"Would you prefer me leaving?" She asked as she looked at him coldly making him to stop whatever it was that he was trying to do.
"Definitely not." He said politely.
She looked at the other side and there was King Nixon and his entourage. She bowed down in respect. "Your Majesty." She said and raised her head up.
Instead of a proper response to her greeting, he looked at her with a great level of intensity. Why was he looking at her like that? Moreover, the look he was giving her was familiar.
Where had she seen it before?!
