Something's Never Change

It was pretty obvious that there was still some chemistry between Cherry and my brother. Even though I knew Ronald would never admit he liked the boy much less talk about “gay stuff”. Talk about being deep in the closet. The ruse he created to make me leave him alone with cherry was quite mean but he is my brother and i loved the idiot so I gave them some space.

My phone rang

“Hello” the unregistered number spoke.

“Hello. Who's this?” I replied.

“Oh hi, my name is Scarlett and I'm calling from SMELLS to wish you an early birthday and also talk to you about our upcoming offers on all perfumes” the girl on the other end of the call continued.

“Thank you Scarlett but I'm not interested as of now but I will pop by end of the week ok? Bye.” I hung up.

I decided to take a walk in the garden, just to take a look at my precious tomatoes and behold there she was, my fucking neighbor, stealing my tomatoes.

“Hey...Hey...I can see you” I screamed at the woman trying really hard to not be noticed in a yellow sweater. Was she kidding? A yellow sweater? How was that even close to a disguise. The moment she spotted me at the other end of the garden she took off running and fell. Twice. I intended to go after her but the scene of her falling, twice, was too much humiliation and I decided to leave it be.

She kind of reminded me of my mom. Crazy wench. She was stage one bipolar and it could be nice sometimes but also really scary. On her good days, she would dress both Ronald and myself and take us shopping for jewelry. I never saw the rapport but if she was happy, we were happy. There were very few of said moments so when these occasions arose, we were happy to just eat some dirt with her.

The bad times however were, safe to say one time she took me to an orphanage out of the city and tried to sell me off in a bar. Yes. So when she was happy, everyone was happy.

“Don't you ever talk to me again” Cherry screamed at who I suppose was Ronald before slamming the from door and practically running to his Jeep.

Wow! Something's never change.
