Adventurer.

Lena spent the night at toto's home. She slept on the same bed with toto, toto spend the whole night hugging her which made it harder for Lena to sleep but didn't annoy her. The next morning Lena helped the family open shop played with toto and then said her goodbye, she couldn't stay with them forever she had her own goals after all.

After leaving the family she went on her way, she asked the dad before leaving where the adventurer's guild is at and he directed her towards it. A short walk later she stood right in front of the adventurer's guild took a deep breathe and with her sword swaying around her waist she went in. She walked up to the counter where she was greeted by the receptionist. "Welcome to the adventurer's guild! how could I help you today? Would you like to set up a request? or perhaps apply?" she said in an enthusiastic voice. "I would like to apply" Lena said expecting a harsh reply from the receptionist. "Sure here you go! just sign here, write your name here, and you good!" the receptionist said enthusiastically again. "t-that's it?" Lena is taken-a-back by how easy it was. "Yup! you should more than good with that!" the enthusiastic receptionist says. Lena does what the receptionist asked of her and is then given a wooden carving by the woman "Here you go! for starters you see right there?" the woman points at the wall to right of her "That is the request's wall all public request are set up there, but sometimes private guild's would buy request from us so that their own adventurer's are only allowed to use them those would be removed off of that board as soon as possible and given to be pinned on whatever guild's bought them's wall."

"joining private guild's doesn't remove you from the adventurer guild's registration, it's more of like a big big parties fighting over who has the strongest members. Of course they don't physically fight, but more like in a number's way. Who has more completed more requests in that type of sense you know? Anyway, now let's say your trusty old sword needs some repairs or is all out broken you can either buy a new one or repair it from our public blacksmith or go to your guild's smith if you joined one. Now, for the rankings and how they work, you see that carving I gave you?" Lena looks at the carving she holds with her right hand "yeah that, the wood carving is lowest rank. To increase your rank you will to report in after every quest and with that we will assess whether you deserve to jump up a rank or no! The ranks go from wood, to copper, to iron, and finally gold, amongst the gold there are different types of carvings that each signify a higher rank, it goes from the regular carving, to the circle, to the circle with a triangle in it, and then finally, the final carving is custom so once we see you as worthy of the highest ranking we will ask you for your how you want it to look like! Oh also another quick thingy each guild has a top 10 which is basically their 10 strongest. Annnnnnnnddddd.... I think that's about it, if you have any other question you can ask me I'm more than happy to help!" the girl rambled on with an enthusiastic tone, Lena listened to her while keeping note of all the girl had said. "No, thank you that should be enough." Lena replied to the girl. "Good luck, and have fun!"

Lena turned around and headed to where the request board was, she stood in front of it reading all types of requests from escort requests, to slaying requests, to annihilation requests it was all there, and in all different types of difficulties. There was no difficulty ranking but you could tell by just reading the description for each one. from fighting regular goblins to slaying hordes of mutated crocodiles. After taking a look Lena decided to look and ask around a bit more, she realized that starters are a common thing, a lot of people get their application done in and then either start a normal job in town or die early on while getting too excited. Another piece of info she picked up is that joining a guild is the best way to grow since most starter level quests are almost instantly bought by guilds to help their own grow trying to top one another. She went around for a while collecting as much info as she could for the day and decided to do her first request tomorrow. She rented a room at an inn not too far from the adventurer's guild and had a good night sleep.

Woken up by the sun she prepared herself for her first day as an adventurer. She didn't want to start off big so she joined a starter party as their baggage carrier, even thought it wasn't the fastest way to grow, it was what would best help her grow without much risk at this point. Her goal isn't to die, but it's to grow. It wasn't anything big it was a simple escort missions where all they had to do was help a merchant's cart get past a forest known for it's monster density, but those monsters are mostly made up of weaker quick reproducers. so even though you would have the number disadvantage it wasn't that much of a risk. And it sure wasn't the request passed without a problem with the group and Lena returning to report in at the guild they all equally shared the reward even with Lena who stuck to mostly carrying the party's items. Lena stuck with being a luggage carrier for a while mostly focusing on collecting as much info as she can. she had learned a lot from watching Octan back in the day but then they wouldn't bother with the weaker ones as much so to her this is mostly all new stuff.
