(Mia's POV)

The next few days seemed to go from bad to worse, I was getting to know Levi and realized that, his father's approval had been everything, either because that's how he was raised or it was really that important. He grew very distant with me, without having to tell me I kept my distance, I could tell it hurt him that his father had felt him alone.

Every morning I would go for a run, trying to fight down the, stress and the anger that was building up everyday. Levi would go to the shop and work, until late and i would leave dinner for him, and I'd go to bed.

For a whole month it was just the same build up of tension and anger for both of us. Then one day I was just getting done cleaning, and a man came by. He looked disappointed, I went to check was he needed.

"Hey, um...sorry I know it's late, but I know you sale small cakes, and my wife is pregnant and is craving one, would you mine?"

"Not at all, just tell me what kind and I'll get it for ya."

"It's the Reese chocolate with the caramel drizzle."

I closed the door and locked it, went to talk to my boss, she said it was fine. I grabbed the cake, booked it, and took it back to the man, he looked so relieved.

"Thank you so much you're a life saver."

"Not a problem, give me a minute and I'll get you your change."

"That's okay keep the change, you've earned it."

I smiled and he did too and walked back to his car, I took back the money to my boss, and she finished counted, and gave me the tip the man had left. I thanked her, and we finished up, I started to walk toward the car, where Levi was sitting, but when I got in something told me to get out of the car.

"Who was that guy?" he asked not looking at me, but the chill I felt had me frozen.

"What guy?"

He turned to look at me, he was beyond pissed off. Without a word, he put the car in reverse and drove us home. Once at the house, he stopped next to the couch, as I made my way up stairs.

"You're going to lie about that guy then?" he asked, and I stopped again.

"What are you accusing me of, exactly?"

"You should know."

"Well, I don't so clarify it for me, what the hell did I do?"

"You must think I'm an idiot right, I saw you!"

"Saw me doing what, in a hotel, in bed, in a car making out, where and what did you see!?"

He suddenly grabbed me by the throat, and slammed me against the wall, it didn't hurt, but the shock of how furious he was, had me shaking. He breathed in deeply, as tears ran down my face, he was trying to smell the man on me. Once he was satisfied that I wasn't lying he let me go, his eyes full of regret.

"Mia, I...."

I pushed him away, and walked out of the house, and just started to run. I ran and ran until, arriving to the edge of a lake. It was crystal clear, as I just sat down, and just cried. Soon however I had to be at attention.

"I know you're there, might as well come out."

The man from before, what was his name, Ronan, was walking toward me.

"You shouldn't be out here alone, Mia."

"Why because you'll just sit back and watch again."

He looked at me hurt, but shook it off.

"What are you doing following me around?"

"Levi's been like my son, and I wanted to see that you were safe, he loves you Mia."

"Sure has a hell of a way of showing it." I said getting to me feet, and swiping the tears away.

"Levi, has no confidence in myself, everything has been judged in a way, that he's never been happy, Marcus, stunned his growth in that way, instead of training him to be the great Alpha any pack could have, Marcus made sure he never succeeded."

"That blame falls heavily on women, right, its our faults, we can't be trusted, right?!"

Ronan, looked like he wanted to laugh but cleared his throat instead.

"According to Marcus, not me."

"So even though I didn't ask for your opinion, give it to me anyway."

He seemed to think for a bit, then took a deep breath, and turned back to me.

"You're the right person for him, Mia. You can teach him so much, of himself and of the people around him, but it's not going to be easy, and you needed to be patient."

"Mean while, I get interrogated every time a man comes anywhere near me."

"If you know you shouldn't..."

"Ronan, I work around men, I have men coming into the cafe, I'm not going to ignore that because, Levi is insecure over nothing!"

"Even if you know what it will do?"

"I'm not doing anything wrong, you men and you're stupid jealous insecurities, if you don't want your women to leave, then don't give them a reason too, and Levi is giving me every reason to leave, I can't live with a man that doesn't trust me!"

"You can't do that, you're mated to him."

"There's more then one way to leave, and this way he'll never find me, ever again."

That shocked, Ronan, I wasn't in a mind set to kill myself, but if that's the only way, I'd be able to get away then so be it.

"Mia, just understand him...."

"Why is it that it's all about him, as if I have no heart, I don't feel , and I don't have a right to be happy, nobody wants to understand I woke up and I was a fucking werewolf, and so far I have no idea about my new self in way or form. I have lost a baby, that was beaten out of me, but the same man that has, felt my mate, as broken as a fucking whined up doll, but understand him!"

Ronan, sighed and nodded.

"Okay, I see your point but I still want you to have an open mind with him okay."

"Whatever, in the mean time, he can talk to me, when he's grown up."

"Mia!" I turned and ran in a different direction.

(Levi's POV)

I wanted to give Mia some room, after she ran out I didn't dare run after her, feeling that I might make things worse. So I sat on the couch and must've fallen asleep, but I never heard the door open. When I woke up the next morning, I was still on the couch, I rubbed my eyes, and looked around.

"Mia?" I called in the kitchen, she would usually be up making breakfast, but she wasn't there. I went up stairs, but the bed was still fixed, she hadn't slept in it.

"Mia?" I called again but nothing, I went down stairs and headed outside, "Mia!?"

Nothing, a feeling of pure fear started to grow inside of my chest. Thoughts, negative thoughts swam through my head, she was gone, she had left me, who was she with, where was she? All this hit me hard, when Ronan suddenly grabbed me before, I hit the ground.

"Levi, Breath just breath."

"She's gone, Ronan, she left me."

"Levi, focus, and listen to me, it's not good news."

My eyes went wide, for a moment I thought he was talking about Mia, but then he said.

"You're father wants you out of this house, in two days or else."

"What where the hell does he want me to go!"

"He said he didn't care as long you were out of this house."

"But my shop, my business..."

"Levi...two days so, start thinking."

I was stunned first Mia leaves, and now I have to vacate my home, damn it!

I spent the day looking for a good place for my new shop but I couldn't blow all of my money like that, so all the shops for rent were too expensive for me, not to mention the apartments, there weren't any available mostly houses, and such but I honestly didn't want to room with Andy and Jen, it wasn't that I didn't want them around but, I was so use to living in my own space. Then by day two, I was desperate to find Mia, so I went to see Eve, but to my surprise Mia was walking out of her old apartment, she didn't stop to talk to me, just kept walking, I ran after her.

"You have any idea how worried I was, where the hell have you been?!"

"Here in my home, where I don't have to deal with insecure guys!"

She walked toward her truck, I was about to walk away, when I caught a glimpse of something, the next thing I knew Mia was on the ground, the assailant on top of her, trying to plunge a knife into her chest, that wouldn't be bad but the dagger was silver. I ran forward and thought I had the jump on the person, but they with wolf quickness, turned and plunged the knife into me.

"Levi!" I heard Mia scream, but soon, the only thing I could think of was burning inside of me. The assailant ran off and Mia ran to me, she quickly called Robert and Eve, soon both were down next to me.

Robert, picked me up and took me up stairs, into Mia's apartment, where he instructed Eve, and she went to get the few things he asked for, she came back in no time.

"Okay, Mia, you're going to be his distraction okay, get him talking so he's nothing thinking about the pain."

"Fine, I um...why were you here?"

"I...was...worried ....about.." I hissed as Robert cut right were I could feel the burning, then he slowly started to pull it out, I squeezed Mia's hand which she gave me after a while.

"Worried about what, that I had someone else living with me already?"

"No, I...I wanted to....apologize, shit!"

"I know that damn thing is falling apart, I'm being as careful and as fast as I can."

"What else, why else were you looking for me?"

"Mia, I love you...I know..I'm not an ea-easy person, but shit! don't...don't give up on me, don't leave me."

Mia just sat there looking at me for a moment, but nodded. Then I blacked out.

(Mia's POV)

I watched over him for while until, Jen called me and let me know what was happening. I asked Eve to watch over Levi, I asked Robert to come with me, and we got to Levi's home, which was now up in flames.

I looked around and saw a group of men, and the one man who hunted my nightmares, stood there watching the fire swallow all of his son's hard work.

"You really are a bastard, how could you do this to your only son!?"

Marcus glanced down at me, but looked right back at the fire.

"Get this little bitch away from me."

"You can't keep punishing Levi, for what his mother did..."

"As if you'd know anything about me, now get lost."

"Oh, I know men like you, I've seen them, they justify the mistreatment of women to get back at the ONE that did them wrong, news flash stupid, that other woman doesn't feel anything!"

"I said Shut Up!" he shouted and slapped me across the face, the force of it made me fall to the ground. I spat out some blood, and Robert came to check me, then helped me to my feet.

"But you know that, you want your son to be as lost and alone as you."

"Leave before I send you back in a match box, you stupid whore."

He glared at me, looking straight into my eyes, and it scared me to see what I saw..insanity, anger, torment.

"Let's go Robert." I said Robert helped me to the truck, I watched as the flames consumed everything.
