(Mia's POV)

When I got back to the apartment, Levi had gone into a heavy sleep, Robert explained that he might've not pull every bit of silver from the wound, so his body was fighting to push it out, if it had been more in his body it would've killed him. Everyday I would check him, and made sure his was healing well. This took about a week, Eve would stay with him while I went to work and to class. I must've looked out of it for a while, when my boss came over to me, and asked what was wrong, I told her a bit of a lie, told her my boyfriend was in the hospital, and hasn't woken up. I told a bit of the truth about him being attacked, by the end she was close to tears too.

"You know, I know perfectly well, what it is to lose someone, I lost my big sister a long time ago too, but the way she and her family went, is still so horrible."

"I'm sorry, mine pales in comparison to you."

"I wasn't trying to make it into a contest, just I understand, that when those we love are in pain, we wish we could take it and make it better."

"That's for sure, but I'm sorry, and I'll try to keep the gloom to a minimum."

"No need to apologize, Mia, you're going through a lot."

If she only knew just how much, I thought as she walked away from me. After I went home, I was surprised to find a couple sitting in my living room.

"Mia, you're home." said Eve getting to her feet, and come over to me.

"Um, hi, what's all this about?" I asked looking from the woman to the man.

It felt weird, my wolf didn't let me look away from the woman, as if looking away would prove something wrong with myself. The man however, I felt like when magnets reject I couldn't look at him exactly, I had to look past him, or hang my head and peek at him.

Soon the woman came over to me, and I stood tall. Of course she was taller by a whole foot, and the power she was giving off, was impressive.

"I like you, you definitely have fight in you."

She then went over to sit with her partner.

"Um...Eve, who's...."

"Mia, this is Jasmine and Andrew, they're Robert's parents."

"Oh, nice to meet you I guess." I extended my hand and for a while nobody moved, but then Andrew got to his feet and shook my hand.

"It's nice to meet you, Mia, Robert and Eve have told us about your situation, and came as soon as we could."

"Situation?" I said looked at Eve.

"Yeah, about Levi not being under his father's protection, and how he's just disowned him."

"Right..Um..." I turned back to Robert's parents, "yeah, it's true, Mr. Barrett disowned Levi, and just a few days ago he burned what use to be Levi's home down."

"We've been watching that boy grow and it's a shame what Marcus has done to his only son, we are offering a chance for you and him to be apart of our pack."

I looked at him then at his wife.

"Just like that?"

"Mia, they're offering to help, you should take it." Said Eve, something in the way she said it had me on edge.

"What about Robert and Eve?"

"What about them?"

"Why haven't they been invited to be apart of your pack, he is your son after all."

"Robert and Eve are different..."

"Because Eve is a human, and I'm wolf."

They froze, yup they had done the same to their own son too.

"Thanks but no thanks."

Andrew, for some reason looked impressed, he took out a card, and placed it on the coffee table.

"In case you change your mind."

"Pretty sure I won't but I can't speak for Levi."

"Good to know." with that they walked out of the apartment, not even saying anything to Eve.

"Did you really tell them everything?" I asked Eve as soon as I heard the elevator.

"Not everything, but the important parts."

"Why should I accept their help if they did the same to you and Robert?"

"Because, it was Robert's choice, he didn't want to be in his father's pack, so he went out as a lone wolf, as soon as they start to change they're considered adults."

I remembered something, from when we went to school.

"Was that part of the reason he was considered cool, because every other weekend he had a party and stuff?"

"He says that was his way to see if he could lure more of his kind, but he never did."

"Levi, and Andy have lived out on their own for a long time, I don't think he'd consider this offer."

"Once he's awake you two could talk it over."

"Yeah, maybe."

We sat down for a bit, talked, then she decided to go back home, and I went to check on Levi, the bed was empty. I ran toward the bed, but suddenly froze, my wolf and my gut were telling me not to make sudden movements.

There was heavy breathing behind me, then I felt that breath in my hair, I could hear growls, and sniffing, I didn't move, just let him confirm that I was who he thought. He pushed my hair away from where he had marked me, and I felt...canines not normal human teeth. His hands slid along my waist, he suddenly pulled me into him, I gasped, but didn't move or fight.

"Mate." he whispered but it was more of a growl then the actual word. As he buried his face in my neck, I could hear, small ripping sounds, he was cutting my clothes off with his claws, until I just let them slip to the floor. I stood there in my bra and underwear, but that too followed the clothes.

I hadn't moved this whole time, but I finally dared and quickly turned to face him. I gasped, as I looked up at Levi, his were piercing blue, and his teeth looked elongated, but the rest of his body looked normal.

He suddenly grabbed me by the back of my hair, not in a aggressive way but more like as if to say naughty girl. He then leaned into my neck again but this time he nipped the mark, and that had the fear ebb away and me melting in his arms.

He picked me up, wrapping my legs around his waist and took me to the bed.

Waking up the next morning, my body tingled all over, the night before, just felt...unbelievable. Levi had me screaming, in so much pleasure, and my body had enjoyed every minute of if.

He was sleeping now, looking normal again, I looked at the clock, it was still early seven to be exact, I had an hour until i had to go to class. Carefully sitting up, then trying to get out of the bed, but nope.

"Where are you hurrying off to?" he mumbled sleepily.

"To get breakfast, before I have to go to class."

He turned and faced me, his eyes still looking a little lighter, then normal but for the most part normal as always.

"Um...I have a question, why does everything have to end with us getting into bed?"

"It doesn't, but if we were in a normal situation, we'd be away from everyone, and going at it like rabbits, and besides...I haven't seen you for two days."

Remembering that I had almost lost him, hit me hard but I didn't let a tear slip, who ever that had been, was going to pay. I leaned toward him and kissed him deeply.

"Levi, this can't continue like this." I said softly as I pulled away.

"What do you mean?"

I got up and grabbed a shirt, and stood next to the door. Crossing my arms and looking at him sternly.

"This toxic thing you have with me, it's a not a relationship, it's just you wanting to control everything I do, and who I see. I'm going to run into people and I don't need you to be thinking the worst of me."

He looked away from me, I went over and sat on the bed in front of him.

"It will never make you less of a man, to ask for help, Levi, your father went through something but that doesn't mean you have to.

Levi looked lost in thought, then got up, and went to grab some of his clothes. Looked at the window shade for a minute.

"What do you want from me, Mia?"

"What do you mean, I want you...all of you."

"And you have me, but now you want me to change why, what more do you want...."

"Don't do that....."

"Do what, point out that what I am isn't enough, you want more out of me." he said loudly, not shouting but close.

I got up and got right up into his face.

"Yeah, I want more for you, I want you to be the best you can ever be, to prove you father wrong, that you can rise above him and be the great man you deserve to be without him, is it going to change you of course it it, for the better, you don't deserve to be begging for me for anyone's love, buying it or otherwise."

"You knew how i was...."

"No, I saw who you could be, Levi, that's the man I fell for, the man that has a heart, not the soulless coward your father made." I told him loudly, but also placed a hand over his chest, where his heart was.

"I can't do that alone..."

"I'm here, Levi, I.Am.Here for you in every step of the way."

He smiled then hugged me to him. After a while we went to the kitchen and started making breakfast. He actually helped me and then we took the stuff to the table, as we sat down, he noticed the card on the coffee table.

"Who was here?"

"Robert's parents came by yesterday, they offered to help us."

He walked over to the card, and looked at it. He smelled it and seemed satisfied but brought it over to the table.

"To help in what way?"

"They said something about protection and how Marcus has been unfair to you."

He looked at the card again, but then sat down and we ate in silence. Once done, I got ready: took a shower, got my stuff and was just heading out, when my phone rang. I answered.

"Hey, Jen what's up?"

"Nothing good, the building was destroyed last night, they ever ripped out the pipes the place is flooded."

"So no class today?"

And not for a while, unless he can get one of the other place to take us but he doesn't have high hopes so..."

"Okay, I guess, thanks for letting me know."

"Yeah."

I hung up the phone, and looked at Levi.

"You hear all that?"

"Yup, if I had to guess it's Rosa and her pack of bitches."

"I don't understand what the hell I did to her for her to be so awful to me?"

"Well, for one part she thinks it's because of you that I was disowned and she was waiting for the golden goose to start pooing out gold eggs for her, but it didn't happen."

"I just mean, she was the one that made Mitch get all obsessed with me, how I have no idea but they started to sleep together, and then he suddenly blows a gasket and starts doing all these things."

"That's just the power Rosa has over men, she once told a man to kill his family to have her, she was only sixteen at the time, and then everything else she done, honestly nothing she does surprises me anymore."

"Did he?"

"Did he what?"

"Kill his family for her?"

"No, the woman's brother was a cop, he was there the day he was going to but the brother stopped him and the man is in jail."
