(Levi's POV)

The day we got Mia back to the house, I breathed a little better, but then again. She wasn't sleeping in the same room as me, that was both the the doctor's recommendation and her condition for returning to the house. I asked Jen and Eve to get a room on the first floor ready, Jen and Andy were also staying in the house with us, so they could help out, and Eve would be coming out every so often.

The guilt of the other day was still heavy on me, my baby was in danger, and that was thanks to me, for not just talking to the woman, I claim to love, but my fear of losing her is so great, that I just.....which is stupid because I'm giving her more reason to leave by getting angry. I sat in the office, trying to give her space to get settled.

"She's asleep, Levi." said Eve, who was really curt with me, she was Mia's best friend after all.

"Thanks, Eve."

She just nodded and walked away, I knew she had more to say but now that I was alpha, she had to bite her tongue a bit. After a while, I went to check Mia, she was sound a sleep, I couldn't help notice how my mate looked so fragile, but with a fighting spirit. I carefully put my hand on her small bump, and barely felt a lit tap of movement. The doctor had explained to me, that with how wolves heal so quickly, a baby would grow in shorter time then a normal baby, so in three months our baby should be here.

Mia, was already a month along, and our baby was already moving.

"Don't worry, baby, I won't let anything happen to you." I whispered and carefully kissed Mia's belly. She stirred a bit, but stayed asleep. I got up, placed a blanket over her, and let her sleep.

Outside, Justin was waiting by the office.

"You really don't want to be here right now." I warned, he kept his head low.

"I already apologized, what more can I do to prove...."

"Nothing, Justin, I'm willing to drop it, if you never mention it, I'm too tired to fight about it."

Justin, sighed, but nodded and started to walk away, but then stopped and turned to look at me again.

"I don't think you should give up, if a woman ever stopped loving a man, she would of ran at the first chance, Mia has had many chances and still decides to stay, Levi, even the other day, she knew your father would've told you."

"Then why didn't she just tell me?"

"She knew she didn't do anything wrong, and had faith that you would be on her side."

"Thanks, as if I didn't feel bad enough."

"No, I mean, any other time, a woman leaves, or does what she's accused of, Mia, didn't do either."

I took a deep breath, and just leaned on the wall, I've never felt so exhausted.

"Thanks, Justin, you may go."

"Thank you, sir."

After Justin left, I looked back at Mia, and knew what I had to do now, it wasn't going to be easy but I wasn't willing to give up.

Over the next few days, I would check in on Mia, before work, during our lunch break, and after work. At first, as was expected Mia, didn't want me around her, she refused to let me touch her, or talk to her. After three weeks like this, she would let me help, but wouldn't talk to me, I would call Jen or Eve to see if, Mia was needing anything, it was usually cravings, I would pick them up.

After we got the all clear from the doctor, Mia, would let me take her to get what she was craving, as long as someone went with us, she didn't want to be alone with me. The fourth week was a little harder, the moon was especially tough on her, she hadn't phased in a while, and her wolf was being called strongly, that day either by chance or because they knew something, Jasmine and Andrew came to visit. Jasmine, guided Mia, through it, but that's when Andrew asked why, Mia hadn't marked me.

"I didn't know she had to." I said.

"When a human and wolf, are mated but when it's two wolves, the bond is stronger, because she can mark you, you open up a mind link, you can feel and hear everything she thinks or feels, and she can do the same with you."

"That way you can calm her wolf, with yours, it will make it so she won't phase."

I looked at Mia, she was fighting so much, her stress would be up again.

"It's her choice, I can't decide that."

Mia looked at me, her wolf looking at me.

"Mia?" asked Andrew.

She didn't have to think, so she nodded.

"Okay what do we do?"

"The same way, you would if you were marking her."

"I don't think, sex is such a good idea right now."

"No, I mean, the same way you marked her, she will mark you, but it's going to hurt like hell."

I looked at Mia, I had a feeling she was ready to kill me, but if it helped her, then it was a risk I was willing to take. Quickly, I took my shirt off, and called on my wolf, and looked at Mia. Carefully knelt in front of her, and exposed my neck to her.

I could tell her wolf was running the show for a bit, because he licked and kissed just a little off my major blood artery.

"Mate." she said her voice nothing more then a growl, that's when she bite into my neck, it was a rush, I suddenly saw everything from the first moment we met to now. The full kick of her pain, hit me so, that I started to change, and was a breathless heap.

"Levi, just take it slow, you'll be okay." advised Andrew, I just looked up at him.

I shook the last spasms of the change, and just waited for the night to pass.

The next morning, I could hear her in my head. Just little whispers and flashes, but it was enough to wake me up. I got up and walked over to her, and licked her face, to wake her.

"Get your dog breath away!" she complained pushing me away. I growled at her, she mocked me and turned to go back to sleep.

I was laughing inwardly, which told me she was teasing me. I rolled my eyes and started to change back, once human again. I went up to the closet, and got dressed. Back down stairs, Eve was helping Mia, with Breakfast. Why because some of Mia's cravings were a little out there. This morning was no different.

"Fried pickles, spicy scrambled eggs, and turkey bacon with syrup, that poor baby."

"Hey, they're the ones making me want this." Mia, exclaimed laughing.

"As if being werewolf wasn't bad enough." Eve teased, then saw me and went quiet.

Mia then turned and saw me too, and didn't say anything.

"Morning." I said.

"Hmm," she simply said taking her plate to the table.

"I like the new hickey boss." Eve commented about my neck.

I raised my eyebrow at her, and she just gave me a smug grin but walked away. I then followed Mia, to the table.

"How are you feeling?" I asked taking a seat.

"I'm fine, Levi, I just want to eat my food in peace."

"Okay, I'm not in a fighting mood anyway."

She put her fork down, roughly and turned to look at me.

"What do you want me to say, thank you for relieving my pain, for finally doing something that should've happened a while ago."

"As much as I would like to hear that, I know I'm not getting it, but I'm interested in knowing how you feel, because you're like a freaken club up in my head."

"Well, then if you can hear me, you should know how I feel."

"I want you to tell me."

"I still don't want to talk to you."

I looked at her, she did the same, I rolled my eyes, got up and grabbed my coffee in a thermos, and headed to the shop.

through out the day I kept getting clips of what she was doing, she went on a walk with Eve, they took her to get ice cream, she was shopping for the baby, and it was strange but it let me also feel, what she was feeling in those moments. She missed me, as she saw a man playing with his baby, or wanted to be sharing the ice cream with me. I missed her too, but I knew we still had a ways to go before, that happened.

The shop was like before but now I had a mechanics working here too, the place was big enough that, we could have the car painting and designs, on one part of the shop, and the mechanics in an other. Andy, and I still did the designs, as well as putting them on the cars, Justin and Robert were the brains of the mechanics, running diagnostics and ordering parts, and along with the others, fixing the cars that came in.

All the work took so much time, we didn't really have time to think. Which was what I liked, I worked on blocking off Mia, just to see what would happen, but it was just quiet. About lunch time, I was heading to the office, when I almost ran into Rosa.

"Levi!"

"Rosa." I said coldly, like always she got all flirty, " what do you want?"

"Well, heard about your little problem, and was just here to offer my help."

She got up really close to me, I held her hands in mine, and pushed her back.

"Well, you wasted your time, I'm not interested like always."

She made a pouty face, and tried to get closer to me again, but I was about to turn away when I caught sight of, Mia. Who was walking toward me. She looked calm but I could feel her anger, just groaned and walked away from Rosa, who then turned to look behind her.

"Mia, you look....well, I'm not going to lie, you look like a whale."

"And you should really take your slut uniform off, oh, wait that's your everyday wear."

Rosa, was about to get up in Mia's face, but Mia didn't budge.

"Rosa, leave." I said.

"Call me." she said glancing back at me, I glared back as she blew a kiss at me, and walked past Mia.

"What are you doing here, I thought you said you didn't want to be anywhere near me?"

"SO I can leave you alone for your fan club?"

"Whatever." I said really not in the mood to fight, as I turned toward the office.

"I came to see if you wanted to get lunch, but if you're busy..."

I looked at her, she was serious.

"Let me get the overalls off, I'll be out." I said and went to put the overalls in the locker, and went outside to meet up with her.

"Where too."

"I'm in the mood for a burger, what about you?" she asked.

"Sure." I said.

We got in the truck and headed to one of the burger places, we've gone to before. We sat down, at a table that was a little apart from everyone else. I also noticed, she had come alone, we were alone.

"Ow, jeez, this kid has a soccer kick!" she suddenly said laughing, all I could do was smile, I felt tired for some reason, and just wanted to be alone.

"I'm glad, you're feeling better." I said really unenthusiastic, she noticed.

"Why are you mad?"

I was realizing that I was mad, but didn't understand why? As I focused on it a little more, it was coming from her, this was what she was feeling.

"I'm not, just frustrated, and honestly, I just haven't been sleeping the greatest."

She gave me a look.

"Okay apart from the obvious, why?"

I chuckled darkly, but didn't say what I wanted to say.

" Just so much is going on, and not a lot of time to fix it."

"Okay, like?" that was the last straw.

"Why, Mia, what did you want or need? You know exactly what's been going on, and pretending to not know, is really pissing me off."

She took a deep breath, and sat back.

"I know, this whole morning, I've been...getting clips of your thoughts, and honestly, I would be lying that I wasn't feeling the same when I saw Rosa, just now, I guess...I understand a little more, of how you feel....and I can't say that I blame you."

I looked at her, genuinely surprised.

"So what does that mean?"

"That means, I'm a little more willing to work on things, if and only if we can talk things out, no bottling, no judgements, just be able to talk about things."

"Yeah, yes...yes, I agree!"

I wanted to jump up and kiss her, but we just got on the right foot, and I wasn't going to mess with that. We got our food, and ate in calm silence, and all I could do was wince as she put syrup on her bacon, then put it on her burger. My poor baby.
