26. Yellow House

Soon they reach the Yellow House, it was a one-way distance from the palace but far inward from the Arena and the site of the Quarters, however, it wasn't a house but a cave built like a temple, inside it, it have several pathways and larger spaces while the walls produce yellow illuminations as light.

As soon as Naya and Nick entered their training compartment, a chirping bird reaches them, before Naya could take a step further, a parrot flipped across her head, flapping its wings to hit her.

Nick watch her as Naya flap along with the parrot trying to catch it, he couldn't intervene but chuckle into his palm,

"Zia-Zia! Why?!"

"I think she missed you already or is it just it way of punishing you?" Nick said while still laughing.

Hastily, Naya grabbed the bird and brought it closer to her face, "It's ok, Zia-Zia, where is Master?"

The parrot become gentle, it flipped from her hand and landed on her right shoulder, it replies in its parrot tone,

"Master was sent an errand by the King."

Nick aghast, "Could that be it? It's so unusual to not see him around His Majesty, but why? It's the full moon, is it around the kingdom?

"Yes!" The parrot replied.

"Oops! What are we going to do now?"

Nick mumbled though it is not yet their training time since they were absent for two nights, they thought letting him know about the reason will make a lesser punishment for them.

Now that he's not around, somehow they feel sober walking out of their compartment.

Naya turned to Nick, "What about we visit the Terubial, it has been two days since we last visit."

Nick nods disagreeing, it's the full moon, even though Vanaria eggs covers up to some part of the beach, yet, they can't identify the exact sides that were covered, likewise, the warning told them not to visit Terubial during the full moon because the sea accumulation power during the time.

They shouldn't be careless and fall, victim.

"Naya, it's too late already, going out there during this time is not safe, besides, His Lordship is around and he might come for either of us."

"Hum!" Naya nods, sympathy, "That's true." She mumbled beneath.

"Naya, what about you tell me what His Lordship did to you?"

Nick could vividly remember the rage in His eyes at the arena, he once thought Naya will never make it back alive that he lurk around the Quarters to find out where she is being trapped.

Naya smiles at him, her head nod to give a keen assurance, yet, her face pretends, she did not want to think about the terrible dreams she had, It's enough of torment for her, her handhold tight to Nick,

"I was knocked out and woke up on my bed, I have no sign of bruises either... I guess, he sent me back when I did not wake up on time. Right now, I'm scared he will come for me once he finds out that I'm awake, Nick, I don't want them to know I'm awake yet,"

She spurts out against the floor, distress occupying her heart, "I have no idea what I've brought upon myself... Nick, how will I be free from this punishment?"

She almost cries.

Glaring at her as she takes pity on herself, Nick was soberer, her face grumpy far more than Naya but the werewolf she offended is not someone they can both deal with, right now, they can only console each other,

"I'm sorry, I couldn't protect you."

Naya nods pathetically, he shouldn't be sorry when she dragged this upon herself, however, she can't deny that she was happy.

Happy to see Nick alive.

"The Palace is stuffy for me, we can still hang around a little more right?"

Nick sat on the pavement outside the Yellow House, his gaze fixed on the rolls of yellow flowering plants before them, he replies simply to Naya,

"No, we can't, His Lordship gets holds of me, he like my archery and my sword fight... What if he called for me at any time? I'm afraid we will be screwed this time."

"Oops!" Naya sighed.

She sit beside him and both of them glance at the scenery before them for a while since Naya still insisted not to go to the palace and Nick did not want to spoil her mood, he wrapped her by the shoulder to make her lean her head on him, they both enjoy the atmosphere under the cool breeze of the moonlight.

Abruptly, Nick bulges his eyes towards Naya,

"How about Ellie? She explained to you what the issue with her father is like?"

Naya made a negative nod, "She insisted that she can't explain to me without you,"

"Should we go to sort it out now? I will be happy if His Majesty can curb the issue, only him can help."

They both agree and left the Yellow House. It was Nurret's voice that interrupt them when they enter Naya's room through the window,

"My Lady! You shouldn't have done that!" She squelched to the floor bowing twice,

Naya nods at her with pity.

Her gaze sight the food still left untouched on the bed, she was surprised when she remove the veil used to cover it, "What?! Both of you did not eat? It's all cold!"

Ellie did not give a response, she stood up from the bed, and walk to the dresser, Naya traced her until she sit, she is not happy, her gaze said it all.

Then, she turned a hardened glare on Naya, "Are you the only one who knows how to deny food? How can we eat when you left us like that? Aren't you fear the guards can..."

Nick could not withstand how she's boiling, even though, she understands that both of them are not predictable and oftentimes she always overlooks their misdeeds but tonight, she is sad and that sadness already littered her heart that each of their misdeeds Is getting on her nerves.

"Ellieanna..."
