Godless part I

"Why… Why did we just leave like that? You were the one that should claim your place, as the Goddess' Apostle!"

'It was wild right? I could remember that time from before that she was blessed and now this time again… She was the Goddess's chosen child, chosen student. Why would she leave?.. they will take her glory if she doesn't stand!' It was the bewilderment on Amber's face that gave Sasha the agony of remembrance.

'How could the Goddess be so bold and forceful of her return… making my goal nothing in the face of her great return to this… this Godless land? In such a hurry to rush to yet another "Great Betrayal"… How could …. Why am I so unlucky?'

It was the once in three centuries, the goddess was imprisoned in a lifeless limbo. It was the parting gift from her so called lovers. The time was different and the goddesses, gods were closer to their subjects. Some goddesses would even come and love their subjects in a very intimate way. It was the era of heavens closest lovin' on their "subjects".

"Why would I further her goal at the cost of my own? She has find the treacherous descendants of her lost loves… and expected me to make them my mates." You could feel the rage, the burning and melt she wanted so desperately to keep away. You could hear the million shards of her faith severing herself from what doesn't serve her.

"You say I could the Goddess' Apostle? Don't you remember the long talk we had the night we met. I wanted to be strong and fight for the right to love only those that were worthy in my heart…. Not the ones that would've stole me … and not the first to pay me any mind. I Wanted To Be My Own Woman! I came here to serve my own dreams and desires!"

It was if Amber thought the thought of loving oneself was never a luxury allowed to "us", "Then why did you fight for me? Why would you beg the goddess for help? Why did you stand in place of righteousness, if you would not take the work of the heavens?"

You could see it all written in every breathe they took, the silent rage and the loud doubts. It was the smothering of lose and the hope for better clashing. You could have drown in the endlessness they returned void onto each other.

"So you did all this for yourself?… Didn't you want better from this world? Didn't you plan to return to the kingdom of tigers and restore the piece of mind of the people? I mean… Doesn't your goals make room for the betterment of our people?"

'If only I could plead my case to her.'

"Had you ever considered, the truth was brought to me by not other than you? Why would I do the one thing it seems my mother didn't even want to do? Did you think I came as a replacement for my mother? That all the duties she never liked I would do with grace? Think Amber.. I can be my own person here! I don't have a past that weights me down and I can be the girl so many dreams would come to live as model and guide…"

'Why would I say this to her?… Clearly she didn't get it, why keep trying with her.' A sight that could bring Mother Nature to tears, it was the crumbling of what could have been a wonderful friendship. She cried inside and sighed on the outside.

"Next time, I'll make sure to serve this goddess as her apostle. I was overwhelmed in that moment."

You could heart in the breathe between her words were the tale of trust faltering, the expression crossing her face hidden deep within her smallest facial muscles was the last hope of closeness dying.

"You will? Thank the Goddess that you will. I know that is a lot of responsibility but you are a princess awaiting your queen's crown."

They walked, but down two different paths. You could see the glass cracking, they would continue with a secret ripping them apart.

It was the beginning of another journey, those moments to embrace each other were in the past. Sasha had to continue on her own to stay free. They crossed the rolling hills where peace could leave them well. From a meadow of love to a darkened twisted path of roots and voids of thinking. The green had now sheen, and the brown had no luster.

"Why are we here? Are you sure we are safe going this way?" You could hear her ripples in the silence of the night's creatures.

"Well, this was the walking path, so it's best we go this way." It was the numbness speaking, rather be alone than with a person I could not speak all my truth to.

They walked in the quiet but Amber could not withstand the creeping cold that rose in her spine. Her heart and her feet, her teeth and her knees; it was the quickened and shaking, the sound joined a cruel cycle, fear of being attacked then fearful sounds that would get one caught.

"Amber.. you must stop with all that noise or a wild beast may smell your fear." It was both in a caring way, only Amber could hear, but also cruel and cold in her lack of looking back.

"I'm.. I'm sorry, could you hold my hand?"

It was awkward, the moment in time before Sasha chose to respond or react. It was a hand cold twice over, air that freezes the bones and a gesture with no deeper meaning. They walked with a hurry ask Sarah stopped her freeing and wanted freedom from it all.

A crash in horrific pleasure, like that one of the two have fallen. The screech pierced the heavens and pulled all to their place.

"Why!?," between each bellow of rolling orbs staining one with pain, "I'm sorry i just couldn't keep my feet beneath me."

In the passing moments, you could hear the coming of beast looking for the source.

"Sarah, please let us go back. Just til I have healed and maybe we have someone to protects."

'You could hear the desperation, maybe it was the fear that engulfed her the moment she fell, but Amber seemed like she belonged to this world.'

Sasha was right in that fact, Amber was raised to feel so special that even though she wasn't stuck up, she still wasn't the kind of girl Sasha needed by her side.

'Would I be able to find a companion that understood me in this world?'

As they came closer, the beast that were fighting came closer. The agony refocused their desire for a girl that was far beyond them. It was a cruel joke that was the fuel fuse with bitter remarks that kept her going.

"Amber, Sasha? Are you guys ok? We will carry you back if you don't feel like walking."

The guys so sure they wanted to help them, even William was tagging along this group that only crafted responses of disgust and disdain.

Sasha saw them just before the came into Amber's eyes. She raises Amber and runs, the sight of the men willing to rip at the goal and desire in her passionate fire.

"Sasha! Please don't! I want to go back! Won't they protect us just for this once?" Amber begged and pleaded for them to stop the breakneck speed.

"You want to go with them? You… fine go and remember you wanted this."

Sasha stops and rest Amber on the ground and bounded off into the night to never be seen. The guys approached only to a feelings drowned Amber before them.

"Sasha!"
