That Day, Seven Years Ago

Shade continued to watch his past unfold like a scene from a movie. After he had watched his family eat breakfast, younger Shade and Rein prepared themselves to leave for school.

While they got dressed, young Shade noticed that Rein had tucked away something in his clothes. However, he had not seen what it was.

"What's that?" Asked young Shade to Rein.

"It doesn't matter. Forget that you saw anything," warned Rein sternly.

"Big brother, lately you've been quite mean to me... Did I do something to upset you..? I'm sorry if I did..."

Rein then looked over to young Shade before a gentle smile crossed his lips. Slowly, he then moved closer to him before patting Shade's head.

"Sorry about that, Shade. I didn't mean to make it seem as if I was mad at you."

"So you're not upset with me..?"

"How could I ever be upset with my little brother? I treasure you more than anything else in this world."
