Caden Mistral and Leila Bridge are two halves of the same problem. They’re both stuck mourning for souls already at rest. Caden travels the world of dreams. He wanders through the void, entering other people’s dreams as he wishes. It was the call of destiny in the form of a hound that led him to Leila Bridge’s door. 

The two journey through the world of dreams and stumble upon a crossover to a life they didn’t know they lived. An old evil resurfaces and threatens to connect the two opposite worlds. Caden and Leila are now forced to face an adversary they don’t have the power to beat. Luckily, there’s a surprise for them at the other side of a mirror.

Chapter 23: The Constellation of the Hunter


Orion Terallion and Caden looked at each other. The former held a face of surprise while the latter had a more relaxed neutral expression. Orion raised his hand before uttering a hello. It was sufficient to say that Caden was confused. This was the only time he saw another person in the void. Orion took the first step forward and started speaking. 


“Greetings,” He started slightly awkwardly. The two men stood a couple of steps away from each other, examining each other in shared disbelief.


“Hi?” Caden waved awkwardly. He pressed his lips together. 


“It is nice to formally meet you,” Orion mimicked Caden’s expression. “Look, I’ll be upfront. My wife and I are trying to establish connections with you and your friend Leila.”


Leila, Caden thought, looking down. “Why?”


“Well, I’m sure you haven’t forgotten the hooded figure we last encountered,” Orion started, “They wore the robes of an organization that doomed many.”
