Forty-Seven

Lucinda stood in the middle of Dryad Plains holding the soul vessel in her hands. Standing next to her was Alexandra who was rubbing her eyes tiredly and Caleb who was looking at the cityscape.

“Ready?” Lucinda asked.

Alexandra and Caleb nodded.

Lucinda handed Alexandra the glowing vessel and she cradled it gently in her palms. Alexandra closed her eyes and stood still. “Hi Mama.” She said gently.

Lucinda and Caleb watched as Alexandra continued to talk with Morgana’s spirit.

“Yes.” Alexandra said with a nod.

“That many? I don’t know.” She said unsure.

The soul in the orb shifted colors becoming light shades of blue and pink.

“Okay, but what about you?”

The orb turned a solid shade of blue. “I see, okay.” Alexandra said looking up at Lucinda. “She wants me to sing while Caleb plays.”

“Very well, just remember not to be afraid, they don’t want to hurt you.” Lucinda advised bringing out the wooden flute and giving it to Caleb.
