CHAPTER ONE

"Boss man."

"What is it Julio?"

"We had a little issue down at the docks."

Jax cursed under his breath. He knew what was coming next but still prayed to whatever person had allowed his existence that he was wrong.

"What?"

"A couple of Junkies beat up Steezy and took all the coke."

Jax turned to look at Julio in rage. "What did I tell you?! Now look where the fuck we are now. What you want me to tell Takeshi?!"

Julio just kept his head down in shame. Jax knew Julio had probable blamed himself enough so he let go of his anger towards the boy.

"I'm sorry Julio. Didn't mean to raise my voice."

"No. I deserve it. I am after all the one who suggested we sell the coke at the docks. I thought maybe we could make more dho there."

"I know J, I know. How much we left with?"

"Three kilos."

"Okay. Send out everyone. I want every last gram of it sold and the money back by 2am. I gotta talk to Takeshi."

Julio, who had been on his way out to do his task froze at the last part.

"Aah, Jax?"

"Don't worry, I won't bring up anyone's name. I'll keep him off you."

"Thank you man." Julio ran out knowing Jax would keep his word.

Jax sighed and whispered under his breath. " I'll keep him of you and keep him in me."

Because that was his life. The boys he had here where like family to him. Which is why he had taken them in. He had taught them how to survive in this cruel world and how to make New Orleans their hunting ground. He had however not taught them how to fight. Jax had grown up with that inner killer in him that had allowed him to survive under Takeshi's enslavement all these years. He had killed for Takeshi not out of loyalty but because he had never had a choice. When he had escaped and started his own band of misfits he had forgotten to close the gate to his past and Takeshi had come driving in.

Now he used these boys as a way to control Jax knowing full well how Jax treated them all like brothers. Because without them Takeshi knew there was no door or vault that could keep him safe from Jax's blade.

Jax walked over to the trunk in the corner of the room and opened it to reveal a hilt with the rest of the sword in its sheath.

He pulled it out of the trunk and unsheathed it to reveal a beautiful, sharp as hell green blade that could cut through anything. He remembered the day he had gone to sleep under that bridge and woken up with it beside him. It was indestructible and had never lost it's sharpness. The symbols on it where Chinese and meant ' A KHAN HAS ALREADY CONQUERED. THE BLADE IS TO SHOW THEM HOW. '

Jax didn't know how he could read that but he could. He had killed multiple people with this sword and for someone who was twenty, that was saying something. He sheathed it and strapped it to his back before jumping out of his window onto the next rooftop and then finally down into the shadows because that was what being a ninja was all about, darkness.
