Disputed Teammate

Few days after staying at the main hall, everyone had gathered with their respective teammates and sects to talk about their plans and of course how the whole thing would be carried out.

"We certainly don't know where we'd actually be transverse too but since it's a dagger I have a feeling it's going to be somewhere close to a forest or what do you guys think?" Yang Fe politely asked for our opinions while MingXia stood up to speak.

"Of course but don't you think it'll be close to an abandoned outskirt?" She added while Bai QingQing thought curiously about it too.

"If it happens to be at an abandon outskirt then probably we're in for a lot more surprises"

"I don't think so." I finally spoke up after a little deep thinking on the subject. "If it happens to be at an outskirt then it'll be of great advantage to us so I don't think we're likely to be transverse there."

Yang Fe contemplated my words before nodding in approval.

"Shanxia is right about that, an outskirt would lead us to more advantage and I doubt they want the tournament to be that easy for us."

Zhangjie gazed at the table lost in thoughts as well. "What if.."

Out of nowhere, a water was being splashed straight at us leaving Zhangjie and I baffled and when we turned our gaze to whoever it was that threw the water at us, five disciples were standing in front of us and a girl giggled amongst them, holding a bowl in hand.

"Oops, my bad." But we could tell she was only mocking us for it, Zhangjie got to his feet, his dark brown eyes flaring up as he gazed at them, completely angered by their actions.

"Oh you are so going to pay for that!" He was already drawing out his blade when Yang Fe stopped him halfway.

"Stop, let them be, you're giving them exactly what they want if you start a fight with them." Yang Fe cautiously reminded him before Zhangjie finally grabbed a hold of himself, I on the other hand was still left in a daze by what happened but of course, stubbornness was a little part of me and I wasn't going to let it slide so easily so I slowly got to my feet and walked away.

They stared at me as I walked over to a bucket of water kept at the side of the watered garden and picked it up, heading back to those disciples and before they could speak.

"Splash!"

I had soaked all five of them with water and giggled just like the girl earlier.

"Oops, my bad." They all glared daggers at me, stunned by how easily I retaliated towards them while I carried an innocent smile. They wanted to speak but I raised a finger making them go silent. "Forgive me, it was a slip of the hand, but at least we didn't complain, so I don't think you have the right to complain as well since we all made a mistake, am I right? We could become even now or go meet the celestial sovereign and settle this once and for all if that's what you want." I informed them making their faces turn ashen, of course they knew the consequences and only glared viscously at me.

"This isn't over! You'll pay for this!" One of them strictly said to me and with that, they walked out and the rest of my teammates were surprised by the stunt I just pulled. MingXia wanted to take this as an opportunity to strike me and stood up glaring at me.

"You…"

"Yes." I interrupted her. "They avoid us, we avoid them but when they start trouble, we give them back to back." I told them while Zhangjie smiled at me with astonishment in his glowing eyes.

"I like the way you think! You left them all so speechless, from today you're my favorite person." He excitedly said to me and I couldn't help but chuckle, Bai QingQing also found it hard to keep her stern face, a slow smile formed on her lips.

"Well, we did avoid them and they are the ones who started it so I don't find your actions wrong in the slightest, to be honest I loved it."

We all laughed and Yang Fe didn't scold us either so I guess he also didn't find my act wrong. But we still had to change from our wet clothes. We departed after that and I walked back to my room to change my clothes. I brushed through my hanger and found a simple outfit I could wear when a knock instantly came in.

"Shanxia, get dressed, it's time." That was Bai QingQing's voice and that meant the real mission was about to start. I hurriedly changed into my white cultivator robe and stepped out, everyone was already hurrying to the gathering at the pavilion and when I found my teammates, Bai QingQing was waving at me.

"Over here." She gained my attention and I quickly crossed over to them.

"We might spend days in that place, probably weeks until we find that dagger." Zhangjie breathed out as we headed to the gathering.

"Wow, so we're literally going to last longer there." I wasn't sad about that, I was sad about the fact I might not see Qui Shan for that long, I'm already starting to miss him and I just hope I get enough distraction to keep me focused on the game.

"The sooner we start searching for the dagger, the quicker our chances of leaving the place."

MingXia tapped her sword that hung on her waist.

"And this baby can't wait to actually get some fighting on."

"We all have unique power's so there's a high chance of us getting the dagger."

"Of course, as long as she doesn't ruin things for us." She pointed at me like I was some kind of burden she's being forced to cope with and I found that really offensive.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Oh please, you just got here and you're already making enemies with the mount Fuan people, see you've always been cursed and will remain cursed!" I didn't know why but those words really angered me, how dare she say I'm cursed!

"You..!!'"

"Stop, both of you!" Yang Fe intervened. "Keep your feud until after the tournament, if you two keep arguing like this, we won't get that prize!"

I was definitely on my own when she opened her mouth to spit out rubbish, how dare she say I'm cursed!

"No senior Yang Fe, I don't care if she has a feud to settle with me or not, but she has no right to say I'm cursed!"

"Why? Is it that painful to accept the truth?!"

She smirked seeing my reaction and it boiled me from within. Before the last thing holding my anger in place snapped, Bai QingQing had already stirred me away from MingXia while Yang Fe and Zhangjie took MingXia away, well it was definitely a good idea cause something would have definitely happened if they kept us together like that.

"Ignore her." Bai QingQing's word brought me back. "She's a crazy being and we both know that." Bai QingQing stated calmly to me.

"But she…"

"You shouldn't be surprised Shanxia, it's just MingXia trying to mess with your brain, don't let her get to you, we're all teammates at the moment so it'll be best if we avoid things that'll cause misunderstanding, you're better than this, if MingXia spits out rubbish, ignore her." She advised me and her words did help in calming me down a bit and I sighed feeling disappointed with myself.

"I guess I over reacted, forgive me." I apologized after gaining myself back. I don't know what happened but the fact she kept saying I was cursed really aggravated me.

"It's okay, let's go now."

I took a deep breath and nodded. At the pavilion, Bai QingQing and I stayed together and in front of the altar stood our master. To my disappointment, Lord Qui wasn't among them and a sad expression crossed my face before I even realized, my eyes desperately searching for him amongst other masters, every other masters were present except him, he wasn't there.

Strange, how come he's not among them?
