Chapter 6: Rebirth

Holy Shit what was I witnessing before me, it scared the living hell out of me. But although all my senses were telling me to run away I looked straight at it with a huge grin on my face. It was time to test my new powers.

It was a Goblin Paladin? which is far stronger than the hobgoblin I fought before. It also had the capability to speak and it said something to me, but I couldn't make out what it said. It moved closer... Now I could see it's face clearer it had scars everywhere and it was clear to me that the gap between us was too huge. But it actually didn't look like the Goblin Paladin I had seen on the guide. This might be a hidden boss or some sort of rare monster.

The cat that I had seen earlier appeared on my shoulder and whispered to my ear, "Help". I looked at it confused and it looked at me with it's green sparkling eyes, it was so damn cute. I replied with, "I'll do my best but I can't keep any promises, whatever you are." I know this might seem weird for me to start talking to a cat that I just met not so long ago but I can't just leave it...

"Thank you, sir human you are very kind and so if you can survive this I might have a surprise for you", the cat said. I was getting vibes from this one anime I watched, I can't seem to recall the name but it had a main character with orange hair, and he fought monsters with white masks. No matter it was time to fight so I waited for it to strike first and kept my guard up. I barely survived the last fight with the hobgoblin but I get stronger with each battle.

The goblin rushed at me with it's giant: what seemed to be a two handed axe one it's right hand. One direct hit and I would be out for the count I thought. The goblin swung it so fast I could barely dodge with it just grazing me causing me to lose 30% of my hp. "The fuck overpowered much, it was just a scrape," I thought.

After that one swing it seemed to be wide open for me to attack, so I stabbed it with the shield... Nothing happened, the goblin actually started laughing in amusement while I grit my teeth. I remembered that bitch at the guild sign up who rejected me the first time I went to apply and how she laughed at me. It made me so fucking angry suddenly a system notification popped up saying that I had learned a new skill called Berserk.

Berserk: Allows user to become invincible with all stats doubled maxed at 50 of each, for 1 minute. After the duration runs out user can not move for an hour. Cooldown: 24 hours

Luck sure was on my side and lady lick had blessed me once again! I looked at the goblin again but this time with a look that showed I was now the predator chasing down it's prey. For a second it was off guard so I activated the skill and whoosh I went pounding into him with the shield. I clicked the button to activate the trigger and bashed against the goblin until it was bleeding all over. 1 minute was almost up, I only had 10 seconds left, now it was do or die. I took a deep breath ran as if Lucifer himself was chasing me down and hit the goblin with all my strength.

After that it went all black...

The next thing I know I open my eyes to see that I am in a dark cave. I try to get up but as soon as I try moving my body a shock gets sent into me and causes excruciating pain. I look around while laying down to see if there is anybody else around and hear something. I hear footsteps approaching me and as it grows closer I kind of get a feeling that I might be in trouble now. I look up to see what looks like a half naked girl standing above me staring at me. I blink a couple times and pinch my cheek to check if this real or not and I definitely feel the pinch.

She bends down to get a better look at me and blows on my face making me flinch and the pain comes back to bite me. I yell, "Hey what was that for?" She giggles and moves closer to me almost kissing me but moves to my side and presses her breasts against me. I start to blush and start getting lewd thoughts, I mentally slap myself awake and try to turn to face her. Now that I get a better look at her from this angle she looks like one of those hot girls who are worshipped.

She slowly backs away and says, "This is the surprise I was going to give you...Thank you kind sir." Even though I can't see her I know she really means it and it hits me that she was the cat from before...

"Hey are you the cat from before?"

"Stop calling me a cat, call me Katey."

She had that cute looking face that all anime girls have when they are sad. I started laughing and told her that it was nice to finally meet her and that I was thankful for her saving me as well. "Hey so about that goblin thing that I fought earlier what happened to it?" I asked.

"Oh that thing over there", pointing behind her. "Yes you did indeed kill it, and I think it dropped something but I can't seem to tell what it is."

A new system notification popped up revealing that I gained a new title for beating something that was stronger than me.
