"Did I say something wrong, Ashley?" Evan asked.
Ashley looked at him and shook her head, "Nothing. Nothing at all." Then she looked outside the window again.
Evan frowned as he tried to ask again, "Did I upset you somehow?"
"No."
"Then why are you upset?"
"I'm not," Ashley looked at him. "Just leave me alone for a while, please."
"But we are in a moving carriage, Ashley," Evan said.
"Then please don't talk to me for a while," Then she turned away from him while Evan watched her, still confused about her actions. They were silent until they arrived at the manor.
As the carriage door opened, Evan exited the carriage and offered his hand to help Ashley.
"It's alright. I can do it alone," Ashley said, walking out of the carriage.
Then she turned to Evan after, "Thank you for taking me home, Your Highness. I'm quite tired today, so I'll retire tonight. Good Night."
