Arise

Victoria and I were a little uneasy by the time we left her grandmother. Hearing everything, she had to say was not exactly what either of us expected. We decided to take a walk to catch up and digest all the information we had just received. Everything that had been happening was so surreal.

How could this be my destiny? How could this be who I was meant to be? I was finally starting to get the answers I was looking for, but they were so different from what I grew up knowing.

I wondered what my parents really knew if anything at all. It was hard to believe that they would keep a whole different, magical world a secret from me. If that is what they did, they did a really good job hiding it.
