The emperor, impassive, watched him approach and whispered,
"Here we are, this is your new home, my love."
Ziterog paused for a moment before his imperial hosts, not moving an inch, straight and proud, then decided to bow slightly, to which Jiide responded with the same gesture.
"Welcome, your majesty. Did you have a good trip?"
"Yes, thank you, Lord Ziterog. As usual, your welcome is excellent."
"I am glad to hear that you are pleased. And after all, today is not a day like any other."
He stared intently at the emperor before lowering his eyes to Myrhes who stood beside his uncle, proud but tense, holding the troubling gaze with defiance.
"And you must be Myrhes," the Gaazal leader declared softly. “We have been looking forward to your visit.”
At these words, gestures, and such a pompous welcome, Myrhes couldn't help but sketch a wry smile.
"I don't doubt it. After all, as you said, it's not every day you win a prince at his organization."
