'Nice!! Rules of Engagement doesn't sound completely useless. A little weird for sure, but I'm sure it does something good. System, what do my new abilities do?'
[Charades: I have no mouth and I must speak.
You can communicate with most people through gestures and hand signs.]
[Rules of Engagement: Fuck this.
Mushroom Heartless are considered a splinter faction that have obtained intelligence and disagree with their purpose to destroy. They have collectively decided to make their own rules. Once a day, designate one rule and it will become true.]
[Gifting: The true spirit of Christmas lies in your heart.
Munny, items, and more can be made from your MP to be given to others. The target for Gifting cannot be yourself.]
'Woah, that could be way too powerful. I need to test its limits, but I think I qualify as a reality warper now.'
[With that out of the way, your stats are now ready!
Name: Will
Species: Mushroom
Title: None
HP: 90/90
MP: 120/120
AP: 0/28
Strength: 5
Magic: 18
Existence: N/A
Abilities:
✓Charades: Cost 1AP
✓Rules of Engagement: Cost 10AP
✓Gifting: Cost 17AP]
[HP is your health, when it reaches zero you will break apart and reform somewhere else unless you are killed by Special Circumstances. MP is your magic points, used to cast magic. They will not regenerate until at zero, so it is recommended to use them up often. AP are ability points, you use them to equip abilities. As an Emblem Heartless you have the privilege of gaining abilities. Strength governs your physical strength such as how much you can lift and how hard you can punch. Magic works similarly but affects your magical abilities instead.]
'What?! Are you saying that if I picked Pureblood Heartless I would have been locked out from gaining abilities? You left that out of the description!'
[Tee hee~ oops?]
Will, even without a physical form, feels like a vein is about to burst from his annoyance at the System. He cools down after a while when he remembers that he managed to sidestep getting a bad deal. 'Still, this system hides too much from me. System, what is the Existence stat?'
[Weeell... Existence would show what level of evolution you are as a Heartless. Most Heartless start in a base form and grow stronger by evolving into a higher tier. That doesn't apply to you though, Mushrooms have no known higher tier. All Mushroom Heartless are just Mushroom Heartless, what sets them apart are the abilities they gain and their intelligence. In a way, they are kind of like humans.]
'So I'm stuck looking like a mushroom forever?! I can't change into something different?'
[You can change, you just need to gain an ability that allows you to. This way, however, the change will be temporary. Your real form will always be a child-sized mushroom.]
A depressing sigh escaped Will as his metaphorical shoulder sank. He would forever be a monster. A benevolent magical leprechaun of a monster, but still.
'Can we get on with the next part of this process?'
[Alrighty then, the last step of the setup process is picking your starting location. Luckily for you, Mr. Choosie, this part is random.]
A giant roulette wheel with countless spaces appears in the void besides the window.
[Just think 'spin' and the wheel will choose your new home! Good luck!]
'Fuuuuck its a gamble for where I start? What if I get a shitty location like End of the World? There won't be anywhere safe!'
He starts the spin, praying in his mind for a nice and calm starting location. The wheel spins furiously, spinning so fast that everything on it is a blur. It spins for a good twenty minutes, with Will getting bored just as it starts to slow down. The wheel takes much longer to reach a stop, and just as it does a screen pops up to block Will from seeing where it landed.
[Destination decided! Beginning transportation of new user now.]
'NOO! I didn't get to see where I'm going!' Will lamented as a bright light enveloped him, then he blacked out.
