CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN: HIS SISTER.

      Chen assisted Rose to visit the medic, on their way they met with the white-haired lady, and they all went back together to get treatment.  

   Cyrus had to help fill in what happened to the investigators sent by Elder Aurelia.

  The place was filled with ambulances and HOJ confinement cars. Albert and the guy Ella handled were treated and arrested. 

   Trent got Ella admitted into the accident and emergency ward. A beautiful elvish lady walked up to him, she was wearing her doctor's coat with her name tag on it.

"This hospital is only for HOJ workers." 

She folded her arms as she spoke.

  "We have no time for this Ria, she's one of the kidnapped victims, and her life is in danger."

  Ria was flabbergasted, "you should have said that earlier."  Ria rushed into the A&E ward. Trent followed her behind. She went straight for Ella. "Jonas, bring me the Aranion plant, hurry!" The young man ran into a room that had a big symbol 'HERBS.'

After a few seconds, he came back with a bunch of green plants with little white flowers on them. She grinds the plant in a little mortar.

   Ella moans in pain, and Trent feels horrible. He went over and held her hand.

Ria and Jonas looked at each. They were shocked because, for the first time, Trent Vanderwood was worried about someone other than himself.

   Ria applied the end product to Ella's neck. She held Ella's neck and started saying some ancient healing incantation of the Elves.

  Ella who was struggling and groaning stopped, they could hear the rise and the fall of her chest. 

"She is asleep, she will wake up in two hours," she informed him.

   "Thank you." Ria was completely taken aback so was Jonas. Trent Vanderwood just thanked them.

They were too shocked to say anything.

Ria nodded her head.

"You're welcome, Trent." She left the ward.

        Trent was quiet, for a whole thirty minutes, he didn't move an inch either.

The ward was quiet because all the patients were asleep since it was late into the night.

 "Sir," he lifted his head and saw a young man wearing a nurse outfit. "What?" his voice came out dull as his mood.

"Some guy named Mr. Sullivan Chen said to inform you that they are in ward 257." He waited for Trent to reply. 

Trent only nodded his head and the nurse quickly dashed out of the room. The mood in the ward was too depressing.

     Trent looked at Ella, for a few minutes before adjusting her blanket and leaving the room.

  In ward 257, there were a total of twenty beds, Ten on each side of the big four-cornered room. They placed a huge TV in the ward, for the patients. The AC was lowered down, and there were ventilators on each side of the room, the same as the A&E but it was not connected to any patients. Nineteen patients were admitted and observed by the doctors.

  Cyrus has been forced to show up at the HOJ quarters to report to the Elders.

Trent entered the ward, he scanned the room until his eyes landed on Chen who was seated next to a beauty who was being healed at the moment.

   He strode toward him. Chen sensed him, he looked in his direction and waved. But Trent didn't wave back. "Where is Cyrus?" Trent asked.

"Back at the HOJ to make reports on the case."

"Ok." 

They were quiet for a while.

"I'm sorry to bother both of you but there are supposed to be twenty of us."

 "She's in A & E." Trent cut her off.

  "Oh my God, what happened to her?" Rose panicked. 

"Don't worry, she has been treated and will wake up in Seventy-five mins."

 Rose was still worried. 

"Can I go and see her?" she asked Trent. Chen sat on the edge of the bed and held her hand. 

"You can only leave when they have taken your statement and if they know you're fit to leave." Chen calmly explained it to her.

   "I should have gone with her, I shouldn't have left her alone." Ros began to cry and Chen was trying to soothe her.

      While looking around the ward, Trent's eyes landed on the white-haired lady. She was as shocked as he was when their eyes met.

  He went to her. "Big Brother." She was too ashamed to continue speaking.

"How did you end up here, Ariadna?" His voice was menacing so was his stare.

   "I ran away from home."  His eyes brows puckered.

 "And what could make the princess of Ehteran run away from home?" She started fumbling with the sheet she was covered with.     

    Instead of replying, his sister began to cry. He saw her tears rolling down her cheeks, she bit her lips and grasped the sheet so hard her knuckles turned red.

    "I fell in love with a human, Mother refused to accept him…." she choked on her words. Her tears fell uncontrollably.

Trent hugged her. She was so shocked that her tears stopped falling.

     "I am pregnant with his child Trent." Now it was Trent's turn to be shocked. 

"How come they didn't know about it, I mean Milli is a witch, even he could still smell the scent of a virgin on her."

   "Aileen, she gave me this necklace." She pulled out a small vial containing a blue liquid attached to a silver chain. 

   "With this, anyone who can smell will think that I am still a virgin. She did it to protect me and my child from Mother." 

Ariadna places her hand on her flat tummy.

   "What happened to him, the human you love?" 

 "They killed him, they killed Trent, I was too weak to stop them." She cried into his arm.

   Rose frowned when he saw Trent hugging another lady.

  "Is she his girlfriend?" Rose asked but she was about to explode in anger. How dare he fool with Ella if he had a girlfriend?

   "She is not." Chen, who has a sharp hearing ability, heard the whole conversation.

    "Big brother, what do I do? if I go back. Mother will kill my child." 

  Trent sighed. "You should rest, I will take care of everything." He helped her lie down and adjusted her sheet.

   Ariadna was the youngest amongst them.  Archer is the firstborn, Joel is the secondborn, Faithia is the fifth born, then Ariadna is the sixth.

   The hospital was bustling with people and had the annoying smell of the sick, dying, and medicines.

  Trent hates the hospital, he has never thought that he will have to stay this long in a hospital. He reached the A&E, they informed him that Ella was moved to a private ward as she had woken up earlier than they expected.

Trent requested a private room for Ariadna. Before leaving to look for room 26.

      Ella was seating on the bed, They were showing the rerun of her favorite show. But her mind wasn't there, her thoughts were back in the cave when Trent hesitated. Her life was in danger and he hesitated. She heard a knock on the door, 

   It was none other than Trent, the hesitator. "Get out!" she yelled but Trent walked in. "I said leave!"  Trent hugged her, and she struggled to leave his grasp.

   "I am sorry, please forgive me." She stopped struggling, and after a few seconds, she wiggled, trying to get out of his warm hug.

   "The Trent that wavered, wasn't me." He finally stopped hugging her. His silver eyes looked into her big brown eyes. "It wasn't me Ella."

   "Who was it, your twin brother?" she said sarcastically. 

 "Kind of, I am scared of telling, I am scared that if I do, you won't want anything to do with me."

  Ella didn't know what to say, Trent is scared." Ella thought to herself.

   "Why? Trent, why wouldn't I want anything to do with you?" she moved closer to him.

   "Promise me that you will never leave me." Trent hugged her again. And her heart suddenly ached for him.

"Why would he think she would flee?"

  She was able to get out of the hug. 

"I am sorry, I shouldn't have asked you to promise. I will tell you everything about me, it is left for you to decide if you want to 

stay or not."

  Ella remained quiet.

"My mother is a witch and I am the illegitimate son of King Augustus Henrish the first.

 Ella's eyes widened, she had always believed that he was from a well-to-do family but never a royal one.

    "My mother is a very powerful witch and a scientist. She started experimenting on me, ever since I was in her womb.

Her main objective: is to create a weapon strong enough to take over the world.

   I had gone to many surgeries and black magic sacrifices, I hated needles, the smell of iodine, and medicines."

    Ella's eyes become teary.

"While growing up, a scientist was working with my mum, she was very nice and caring, and she told me many things about the outside world. And told me stories of Peter Pan, Oliver Twist, Willy Wonka, the Chocolate Factory, and many more.

   Ella found herself smiling with him, whilst cleaning the tears that rolled down her cheek.

"I was so happy, that a part of me wanted a normal life, to go to parks, ride a bike, and even fly like Peter pan. (He chuckled, Ella, laughed too. But her eyes were now red with tears.)

  While a part of me wanted to take revenge on my mum.

One day, when my mum left the lab, The kind Aunty tried to help me escape, but Mili saw her. She is the skinny lady with glasses, your captor. (Ella nodded.) and she immediately alerted the guards and my mother.

 They killed the nice Aunty."

Ella couldn't control her tears or the pain she was feeling. How could she do this to her child?

 "I swore that I would kill Mili, the nice Aunty's last words were for me to live a happy life.  That was when Two Trent Vanderwoods were born.

  Ella, I have split-personality Disorder.

One is happy Trent, the other is serious Trent. So I ask you this, can you be with an unstable man?"
