Sniffy

Alin then shook his head and muttered under his breath once again "I indeed do seem to be getting old…"

"KNEEL" Alin repeated himself and then as if a mountain appeared on their shoulders all of the four men suddenly fell to their knees.

Their whole body was being forced down towards the road, it felt as if weight was increasing and increasing, their bones could be felt flattening and cracking while their blood vessels started to pop.

All breath was being squeezed out of them while they were being flattened by a seemingly invisible force. Their weight increased exponentially causing the ground underneath them to crack and fissure just as it had with the bus.

The captain being stronger than the rest managed to hold on longer than the rest whose eyes had already grown dim and gave out their light due to the immense pain they experienced all at once.

"P-please… S-spare me" Begged the captain, a trail of blood could be seen coming from both of his eyes making it look as if he was crying blood.

Alin scoffed at the man whose head was firmly planted in the ground. A wide range of emotions could be seen on his face, fear, anger and regret, however, were predominantly visible over any other emotion.

His bloodshot eyes were fixed on the face of the man he just tried to rob in hopes of hearing merciful words, never in his life would he have expected such a development of events, a light shone gently onto the face of the man illuminating his golden eyes causing the man to look like a deity. This was the last thing he ever saw before falling into eternal slumber.

Alin looked at the pathetic sight. Four bloody unidentifiable messes could be seen on the ground. They were a mix of torn flesh, blood and crushed armour and equipment. The only one still breathing was the man or more appropriately in the eyes of Alin, the boy they called Sniffy.

He walked towards Sniffy before reaching out his arm towards his head.

This action caused Sniffy to flinch and give out a high pitched squeal before begging for his life.

"Please said, please spare m-me. I-I only did what I was told, I'm weak if I didn't use my ability for them they would have killed me long ago"

Sniffy argued with his life on the line, praying that the man will feel merciful although he doubted he would be this lucky and he hoped that at the very least he will get an instantaneous death instead of a painful one like the others had received.

Alin placed his hand on Sniffy's head. His veins started to glow red before an aura enveloped him and Sniffy. This action caused a red aura to appear around Sniffy and his veins to glow faintly red before going back to normal.

"They called you Sniffy." Stated Alin causing Sniffy to look up confused and in disbelief, could this be his chance he thought.

"Y-yes sir that's right." Sniffy was far more intelligent than he looked. He decided it would work in his favour to only speak as much as is needed. He thought Alin wouldn't appreciate him talking and angering him is the last thing he want's

"I just injected you with my mana, you won't be able to use your ability on me anymore unless I decide otherwise."

Noticing the confusion in the eyes of Sniffy he went on to say.

"Your ability is quite the useful one. I'll give you a chance to save your life. Go to the capital of the kingdom of Alagard and wait there for further instructions. I'll contact you when the time is right." Alin turned to walk to the bus before briefly turning to Sniffy and saying one last thing to him.

"Oh yeah, take these"

A couple of rings then lifted seemingly by themselves into the air. One was a simple silver ring with a diamond-shaped gem slot. It had a clean design and looked like it was fairly expensive. The other ring looked a lot worse off as if it had passed through generations of hands.

The more expensive ring had a crushed finger that managed to tear itself off while under the heavy magical pressure that Alin exerted earlier.

'SNAP'

Alin snapped his fingers once again and a flame appeared out of nowhere burning all the remains in a flash before getting back onto the bus.

"..." Uriel opened his eyes. He looked around trying to figure out where he was and what was going on. The last thing he remembered was a man in the distance with a terrified expression on his face before he was forced to close his eyes.

He saw that they were moving and his grandfather was sitting next to him. He wondered if it was all possibly a dream and nothing happened, but he could not shake the feeling that something was off. He looked up at Alin and opened his mouth to speak when he heard.

"We've arrived."

These words caused Uriel's head to snap to the side, he quickly opened the window and put his head out of it to see gigantic walls that extended for miles in each direction. They were tall and had a plethora of emblems on each tower along the wall.

The walls themselves were pure white and enchanted with a magic enchantment that kept them clean all year round, however, this needed a large number of pure mana crystals to power the spell.

Uriel looked with awe at the city that was larger than the mountain he grew up on. Skyscrapers could be seen far off in the distance causing Uriel to wonder what those tall rectangles in the distance were as he has never seen nor heard of such things in the past.

Alin could tell what his grandson was thinking and chuckled with a smile on his face hoping that he will never grow up and always stay this cute and curious.

"Welcome to Ran City boy."
