Chapter 1

It's a pitch black night, when the moon has gone to rest, there is silence overall the forest. In the middle of the forest there is a village named moon valley at this peaceful night there is a sudden rush of footsteps stirring the still pond. The owner of the footsteps was carrying a seven years old unconscious small child over his back and running for his life, distinct from the silent dreading night he is running for hope. He often turns to look around as if wary of seeing, is there someone watching him in dark. Going out of the forest, before he can breathe a sigh of relief he can hear the approaching footsteps from afar.

It's the same morning last year when I first came here knowing nothing but that my name is Vivi, it made me really anxious to not know who am l ?, they told me in the orphanage that I'm four years now, when I came here I was just three years old, orphanage brothers gave me many candies and the sisters bully me and they often told me "don't behave like a princess when you don't have father and mother, and when they don't even want you !" it's really hurts to know that I don't have a father and mother. where is my father and mother ? I want to be with them.

when I run out of the orphanage gate crying when they bullied me I lost my way in the near forest I was really scared because the orphanage director told me not to go near the forest as there is monster out there, am I going to be eaten? I suddenly heard noise behind me I was scared that I turn to run, but suddenly I heard a voice asking "are you alright?" I was shocked to know that there is someone in the forest just like me who got lost in the forest, turning around I saw a big brother, who I have never known and was one head taller than me but still I didn't relax my vigilance.

Being wary of the stranger I asked trembling, "who are you?" and from the words of the big brother, I came to know that this big brother was the one who is staying in the mansion on the mountain who orphan brothers and sisters often tells about, how beautiful the mansion is. Still hesitating I asked him "Brother can you take me back to the orphanage, I don't know the way back?" and I don't know what and why but the brother suddenly told me the name "Ray" and I assume that maybe it's his name. "Ah! then brother Ray can you please take me back?". Brother Ray nodded his head and turned back leading the way, while taking me back brother Ray often asked me some questions like what is my name, and why I was crying out there in the forest, and I told him that my name is Vivi and, how I don't even know who I am and how the sisters at orphanage told me that I don't have father and mother, and that they don't want me. so, on the way back brother Ray try to convince me not to cry as I started to cry when I told him what happened, and surprisingly after that day no one bullied me so, I thought maybe they got scared because when brother Ray took me back he told the orphanage director, what orphanage sisters told me.

Just like that I became friends with brother Ray and I stopped calling him brother sum time in the middle of our time together playing in his home. Now, Ray is my only friend eventhough he is three years older than me. This year I'm four years old that's make him seven years old. when I was getting ready to go for the mansion, the orphanage director called everyone in the orphanage out to the hall, there I saw a brother who is looking vigilantly at the people around him just like how I looked at the sisters who tried to take away my candies when I am in Ray's house.
