The guard looked at the three again. "I know that these aren't all the belongings that you have. I know that foreigners always hide many more of their items around them in invisible mode. Take out and show all of them to us!" He demanded.

This time, they didn't quickly respond to the guards' demands.

Instead, Adori stepped forward and spoke with a calm but firm voice. "No, we will not take all of our items out just for you to look at them. Your demand is irrational and too much for a mere normal security check-up."

Adori smiled slightly. "If you are worried about us being dangerous, don't be. Because no matter what items we have in our storage, I don't even need any of them to massacre the entire population of this small town."

Her calm aura and tranquil demeanor as if she had everything within her palm affected them a bit as they stepped back for a moment. But instead of giving the effect that they anticipated, the guards did the opposite as they surrounded them the next instant.

"I don't know what are you talking about, lady, but you'd better follow our orders or else." The captain of the guards who stood in the middle said as the other guards pointed their spears to them.

"You guys aren't even B-ranked regulars, do you know the punishment they give to people who dare to touch a member of the Zahard family? Let alone a princess of Zahard. Trust me, you don't want to find it out personally." Said Adori calmly.

This time, the guards seemed to return to their senses as they were stunned for a moment and then shared a glance with each other-

Before burst out laughing loudly as even their bodies shook along with it.

The drastic change in their behavior made them raise their eyebrows in wonder as they were baffled by the scene that was unfolding in front of them.

After a good minute or so, the guards finally managed to compose themselves and seized them again.

"I still don't know what you are talking about, lady, but I can still understand that you say that name, Zahard." Said the guard captain.

He then smiled. "Unfortunately for you, lady, the name of Zahard or the ten great families and whatnot doesn't hold anything in here. This is our land and nobody else owns it except our people. As I have said before, in here, you should obey our rules."

Listening to his words, Adori let out a sigh with exasperation.

Now, she had finally got the gist of the problem. Since they had said repeatedly that they didn't manage to catch her words and only responded when they heard the name of Zahard, she finally understood the problem.

It was language. Or more specifically, they spoke a different language than what she used.

Normally, this was usually the case in the tower as the tower was vast and contained numerous races and creatures that coexisted among each other.

Since they came from many different places and origins, it was natural that many of them had their own languages. Fortunately, the problem of communication was easily solved by one of the greatest and most useful creations of the Workshop in the history of the tower, pocket.

Indeed, with a pocket, any language problem could be solved effortlessly.

Not only it will translate any words in whatever language the user used into something that everyone could understand as if it was their native tongue, but it could even change its user's voice into a sound that everyone could comprehend naturally and effortlessly.

A pocket was akin to a universal language translator and voice changer. In the tower, this particular device was so useful and practical that almost everyone had it. Because, without it, communication would become a hassle.

This was the case even after the Zahard Empire and the ten great families reigned in the tower for many millenniums and centralized their power, which erased many races such as the native ones and those who opposed them in the Great War in the Climbing Era and the Ancient War in the Genesis Era.

The genocide and extinction of many races had decreased the existing languages in the tower.

But even so, there were still more than thousands of languages left nonetheless.

Many people still used them despite they weren't the official languages used by the Zahard Empire, especially for people living in the outer tower since the Zahard Empire's and the ten great families' influence seldom reached there.

Knowing all of these, Adori was pretty sure that the guards in front of her probably didn't own any pockets.

Hence, although she could understand what they said, they couldn't understand anything that she said as pockets would only help one way communication not two ways so each person needed to have their own respective pocket to be able to properly communicate toward each other.

Seeing that she was unresponsive, the guards pointed their spears threateningly again as the guard captain spoke. "Lady, don't test our patience. Just do what I said and I will let you in after we make sure nothing is suspicious."

"However…" The guard captain stopped for a moment as he stared at Adori intensely, seemingly appreciating her attractive body and sexy curves and cleared his throat. "Since you have ignored and declined our orders repeatedly, you have to pay a penalty for your offense."

"But for a beautiful lady like you, we will give you a much easier way." The guard smirked as his glanced at her body with a glint of desire. "You will serve us drinks for the night. Don't worry, your two followers can join if you mind it. A pretty generous solution, isn't it?"

"So, what are you waiting for? Let's go, I am thirsty already." He said as his hand moved forward to wrap around Adori's waist.

"What about, no?" Said Adori with an indifferent tone as blood sprayed in the air and was immediately followed by a painful scream.

The guard captain screamed in pain as one of his limbs was cut and dropped to the ground. The others guards seemed to be stunned. However, with an angry yell from their captain, they quickly returned to their senses and attacked them.

Before their spears could reach them, however, something happened as they felt a blue flash.

Suddenly, their bodies and movements stopped to even the smallest details like facial expression and voice as the guard captain stopped his screaming and cursing.
