"What is this?"
Uni was trying to figure out what {would you like to access your potential} meant, but the beeping was still ringing in his ear, keeping him from focusing.
Uni looked around the room, but it didn't seem like the sound was getting closer or further away.
Then Uni looked back at the words in front of him.
[Yes/No]
^Am I supposed to choose?^
This was the only thing he could think of that would mute the noise. However, he was dubious and didn't know what would happen afterward.
"What if when I choose one, I die?"
Despite saying this, Uni was still curious.
After contemplating a bit more, he decided to pick yes.
^What's the worst that could happen?^
*Click*
Nothing happened after a few seconds until Uni saw new words appear before him.

^That's a name I haven't heard in a while, and what's it mean by player 2?

"This reminds me of the games at the arcade." Despite not being able to afford to play, Uni would love to watch other people play games through a window.
"It says that I'm only level 1, and if I use video game logic, I should be able to increase my level if I get Exp."
While examining the data, he noticed one of them said [Exp 0/100] and wondered a few things.
^How am I supposed to get Exp? Also, what did it mean when it said [requirements fulfilled]?^
"Anyway, how do I make it vanish?" He tried tapping it, but instead, the words changed into what resembled a game menu.

"Do 100 push-ups, and I get 10 Exp. Will I get 20 Exp if I do 200 push-ups?"
Uni got on the floor and thought I should try to see what would happen after.

Collapsing from the fatigue, Uni felt sweat leaving his body.
Breathing profusely, he mustered all his strength to look up. Then an immense grin was seen on his face.
"Glad my hard work paid off." He said, relieved.

After a struggle, Uni got up from the floor and landed on his bed to rethink his situation. He thought for a while and believed that he might have a solution to his soon-approaching homeless problem.
"I should become a hunter." Even since the war with the Seki, humans have evolved leaps and bounds and can now travel to other planet's and other galaxies.
But, while traveling around the galaxy, humans discovered more monsters like the Seki that seemed to appear from horror movies. So hunters are people who exterminate those creatures and, in turn, receive profit.
Uni believed that if he kept getting Exp and got stronger, he could become a successful hunter. But that's when he ran into another dilemma.

He Tried looking at the menu again when he saw something that said

"This has to have some way to get more Exp." Clicking on it, he was instantly met with dismay.
[Primary quest: Reach level 10]
[Guerdon: ???]
"What the hell is this pointless thing? How can you tell me just to get to level 10 without telling me how?" Feeling frustrated, Uni didn't know what he should do next.
Just as he was thinking this, he heard something. *Ping* almost like a phone notification. Uni looked up to see what it was, and another grin formed on his face.
[Side quest: Do 200 push-ups]
[Guerdon: 20 Exp]
Shaking off his fatigue, he immediately got to work.

"199, 200!" Once again, he collapsed from the exhaustion.

Uni didn't move from the floor for about 5 minutes. When he finally did, he saw that the sun was starting to come out.
Knowing that he had to leave soon, he looked for things he needed. Uni wanted to depart without notifying anybody because he felt it would be easier for them.
Before leaving, he left a note on his bed, telling them goodbye. Even though he wasn't very close to anyone at the orphanage, he still felt sad about departing from where he had most of his life.
Escaping from the window, Uni straight into the unknown woods.

In a fancy room reminiscent of a castle, there were 5 people all in a room.
They all seemed to be doing lots of paperwork, and that's when a teen girl ran into the room panting.
They all turned their attention to her and were concerned. "What's wrong?" The one who asked this was a middle-aged woman, but you would believe she was younger with how beautiful she was.
"Someone else awaked!!"
The middle-aged lady was greatly shocked and processed to question the younger girl. "What do you mean? How do you know someone else awakened?"
"I-I felt it!"
"And I can tell you where it happened!"
The teen girl captivated everyone's attention and simultaneously asked her the same question as if it was rehearsed.
"Show us immediately!" One of the men pulled out a little ball from their pocket, threw it up, and it became a holographic map.
Everyone was closely looking at where the girl pointed.
"An orphanage? Are you sure?" Everyone thought the girl might've pointed in the wrong direction.
"I'm 100%," The girl said convincingly.
Seeing the girl's conviction, everyone believed her. "Send people there immediately!" One of the men ordered.
The girl ran out of the room feeling effervescent.
