The petals

With the sun gleaming off Uni's skin, he was panting, running in the woods. He had been in the woods since the morning roaming around with no direction.

"Where am I?" Uni was regretting just running into the forest without at least a map.

*Gruuu* Uni held his stomach in pain. "I didn't even bring any food with me." Seeing how underprepared he was, Uni was tempted to go back to the orphanage. He would rather eat the slop he's been eating instead of nothing.

When Uni felt the situation helpless, he received an update about the side quest.

[Side quest: Do 1000 push ups]

[Guerdon: Instant level up]

Uni Saw this and instantly became motivated to do the push-ups. ^I get to instant level up! I wonder what'll happen after I level up^

But just as he got on the ground, he realized something.

^If I do 1000 push-ups, how would I sustain myself after? I'll be so exhausted, but I don't have anything to refill my energy once the push-ups are done^

Although this made Uni a bit dubious, the Instant level ultimately convinced him to continue. Prepping himself, Uni took a couple deep breaths.

"Ok, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6..."

Outside an abandoned building, a few people were sitting inside a luxurious car.

One of the people inside the car was a girl whose beauty was incomparable, and she was very excited today.

"Young miss, this is the place?"

"YEP!"

"Ok." The man said as he and four other men walked out of the car and headed towards the building.

Inside the building, Yanda was in Uni's room reading his letter. She was sad, but she wasn't surprised.

^He always seemed detached from the rest of the kids. I hope he finds success in the world and doesn't just end up homeless^

Just as she thought this, there was a knocking sound on the front door. Startled, Yanda quickly put the note in her pocket and checked the front door.

Some of the kids got inquisitive and went to the door as well. There are a lot of holes around the front door, and If you look through, you can see the other side. So before unlocking the door, Yanda looked out and saw 5 men dressed in all black with body armor and weapons.

Seeing this, Yanda became slightly tense ^Who are these people, and what do they want with us?!^ Yanda then looked closer at the men and noticed a strap around their arms.

It had a Feather pen and a sword intersecting each other. "What!! That's the royal guard's emblem!" After noticing that, she immediately opened the door.

Not wasting time, one of the guards pulled out a paper that read: Search Warrant:

"Excuse me, ma'am, but we are looking for someone who recently awakened in this orphanage. Would you happen to know anything about this?"

Yanda became very perplexed upon hearing this because, typically, an awakening is an exceptionally long and destructive process that is very dangerous for anyone in the vicinity without proper protection.

So for someone to have an awakening without anybody noticing is quite strange. "I'm sorry, but unfortunately, nobody here has experienced something like that."

"Well, could we just look around the place?"

"Uhmm, Sure." Then all the men and the girl went inside.

From the outside, you could see the horrid condition of the building, but from the inside, it was worse. The orphanage was deteriorating, with many different rodents and bugs everywhere you could see.

The teen girl was also observing the area noticing about 6-7 children, which made her feel bad for their disgusting living conditions. ^There's no way someone can live like this. they all look malnourished. How much do they eat?"

While she felt sorry for these kids, she saw a note on the floor. Letting curiosity get the better of her, she picked it up and read it.

After reading the short note, the girl brought it to Yanda for some questions.

"Um, Excuse me, miss. Was there someone who recently left here?" Showing Yanda the note.

"Uh, yeah, he left yesterday night, I believe. I could show you his room if you want." At first, Yanda paused because she was trying to figure out when she might've dropped the note, but she thought it didn't matter.

"Yes, please." ^Could this person be the one with a system? I felt their presence late at night, and it seems they also left late at night, but it could just be a coincidence^

Opening his room, the girl asked Yanda if she could provide any information on him.

But before she could speak, Yanda cut her off. "Before you say anything else, could you tell me your name?"

"Oh, my bad for not introducing myself. My name is Anna, princess of the royal family."

Hearing that, Yanda became utterly dumbfounded.

Although she read many papers about the royal family and Anna, Yanda never saw a picture of her, so she didn't know the princess was next to her.

Out of respect, Yanda immediately bowed. "Your highness."

"Please stop. You really don't have to do that."

"B-but."

"I said you have to."

Looking up at Anna, Yanda complied and sat back down. "So, was there anything you wanted, princess?"

"Yes, can you please tell me who lived in this room?" Anna was still on the fence about whether Uni was the person who awaked with a system or not. ^Hopefully this can confirm or deny my suspicion^

"Of course. Uni was the name of the person who used to live, and..."

-----

After hearing about Uni, Anna was left in deep thought. ^Nothing about his past gives me any reason to believe it's him who awaked, but clearly, none of these kids were the ones who awaked, so it had to be him^

^Regardless, it would be better to find him because this lady doesn't seem to know any more information^

"One more question"

"Do you know where he might've gone?"

*PANT*

*PANT*

"998, 999, 1000!" With that, Uni laid out the dirt, unable to move, but that's when he received the message.
