Nice to meet you!

A moment of silence filled the air as Yanda and Anna just stared at each other.

"Um, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I don't have much idea where he could've gone. The most likely place he left was probably through the window."

Even though Yanda called it a window, it was really just a wide crack in the wall.

After staring out the window for a minute, Anna wasn't sure at first, but this was her only potential lead to where he went.

"Ok! I would like to personally thank you for your cooperation. As compensation, I will have this entire Oraphage renovated and upgraded."

Yanda was absolutely speechless. "W-w-what? Why would you do something like that for us?"

Anna simply smiled and said, "It's better to accept the gift and not ask questions. It makes you seem like you don't want it."

Yanda was still in a shocking state, but she still tried her best to form a sentence. "I'm not sure why you would do this, but everyone here at this orphanage will be forever grateful." She then started crying.

Leaving the room, Anna gathered up her guards to depart.

Hearing them leaving, Yanda got on the floor and started crying. ^Thank you, Uni!! I don't know what you did, but I'm so glad^

[Side quest completed]

[You will now receive your rewards]

[100/100 Exp]

[Maximum amount of Exp reached]

[Congratulations, you have reached level 2]

[Your stats have been increased]

Even though Uni was exasperated a few moments ago, after the Level up, he felt better than ever. He sprung up and checked his stats.

[HP 200/200]

[Stamina 200/200]

[Agility 200/200]

[Strength 200/200]

[Exp 0/1000]

^So all my stats got multiplied by 2. Would this happen every time I level up, or would there be an increase later?^

Figuring it didn't matter much, Uni continued on his journey with this newfound energy.

Uni wanted to test his new strength by punching some trees but didn't want to accidentally break his hand.

While walking, Uni checked his side quests, but nothing was new to his disappointment. Uni thought about just continuing the push-up method, but it was too inefficient for him to rely on.

Deep in his thoughts, Uni wasn't paying attention to where he was walking, and he subsequently tripped on a tree branch. Unfortunately, he was next to a cliff, making him fall down.

For a second, Uni didn't know what was going on. It took a moment for him to realize that he was falling, but what was he supposed to do even when he did.

Uni tried to stay calm, but it was impossible not to panic. ^What do I do?! What do I do?!^

Uni looked down and saw that he was getting closer to the ground. ^Is this the end for me? There's literally nothing I can do!^ Just as Uni was on the brink of splattering all across the ground, he felt all the air around him slow down.

Uni looked and saw the ground only a few inches below him. Muddled, Uni was trying to figure out how he was levitating. That's when he saw someone coming from a bush.

Uni attempted to move, but whatever was holding him up kept him restrained. Looking back at the person, Uni noticed that it was a guy, and he seemed close in age to himself.

He was wearing all-black clothing, which gave him the vibe of a ninja, and grayish hair. Uni didn't think he was the one who saved him from certain death, but even if he did, this person did not give off a neighborly vibe.

He felt his body move and placed it on the wall as he got closer. The person was now right next to Uni.

"Who are you?"

"Uh, my name is Uni."

The man started pacing back and forth while eyeing Uni. "Your name is Uni Huh; that's a pretty strange name you got."

Uni was unsure how to respond, so he started laughing. "You're gonna have to blame my parents for that, haha."

An awkward silence filled the air afterward as the man continued to eye him. But as he was looking at Uni, Uni noticed that his eyes were flashing yellow.

After another ten seconds of this, Uni finally dropped to the floor. "What did you say your name was? Umi? I'm sorry for doing that, but I needed to check your soul."

Uni's head immediately turned to the man when he said he had to check Uni's soul. "Check my soul? What do you mean by this?"

"Oh, I didn't mean to scare you. But one of my abilities shows me if you're a good person or not. Nothing crazy."

^Nothing crazy? He basically just told me that he could read people's souls. How is that nothing crazy?^

"So, Umi, what are you doing falling off cliffs?"

"First, my name is Uni, not Umi. Second, thanks for saving me. I wasn't paying attention while walking, then I tripped and fell on something, which caused me to fall."

"Did you have a place you were headed?" When Uni thought about it, he really didn't have a destination. He was just walking, hoping he'd find something.

"I really didn't, but I guess a city." Hearing his answer, the man smiled. "Luckily, I also am on my way to a city. Would you perhaps like to join me if you don't mind?" He said while holding out his hand to help him up.

Uni was dubious, but only for a few seconds, eventually grabbing his hand. ^If he wanted to do something to me, he would've already done it. It's not like I'm some famous or rich person he could've used for ransom anyway, and what's there to lose?^

"Alright, I know the way. Just follow me."

"Ok...wait, I forgot something," Uni said

"What is it?"

"We were about to travel together, but I don't even know your name." Pausing for a moment, the man smiled. "My bad, I forgot to mention it. My name is Lvle. Nice to meet you."
