"You're lucky that you even made it this far, filth!" Reynolds insulted his opponent who could barely move on the ground "Be glad that you are defeated by me"

"Fuck you!" his opponent retorted "I hope you lose"

The crowd then cheered at his victory

"Hmm, my next opponent is the genius from the Silver family right, I better go rest and not get defeated again" Reynolds pondered out loud "Even if he's good, being defeated by someone younger than me seems humiliating"

"That Noblesse guy was just bullying the poor soul, he could've ended the fight much earlier!" Emma complained

"Yeah, and the ref was dirty too" Elliot added "He can easily see that they guy can't continue, but the ref let it go on, he's still human too, there's only so much damage a person can take. Perseus, you better beat the crap out of that guy"

"I will, I'll defeat him so fast that he won't see what's coming" Perseus nodded "I wish he would ask for a fight with familiars though, then we could end it with 1 move, but he doesn't even have one"

"Even if he did, anyone would be stupid if they want to use their familiar against yours" Craig explained "I can already tell, one of your familiars can handle the council's guards easily if they want to"

"Oh those guys, the strongest guys in the kingdom, blah blah blah" Perseus sighs "They rival even the top adventurers, though currently I doubt they can defeat the tier 11 adventurer, Aenon Alun, the master of the adventurer's guild."

"Well that guy is a beast you know" Craig commented "I'm sure you've heard of his feats, he's still the strongest despite his old age, his successor is also great, Albert Golds, he's already confirmed to be the next head. But let's focus on your next match first, I don't want my own students to lose this early, it would also sully my name"

"Long time no see" Reynolds greeted cheerily with a wave "You did good, but this is where your journey ends, fortunately for you, you can join again in the next 5 years, where I doubt anyone would be your match then"

"Pretty confident for someone who've lost to me before" Perseus smirked

"You're also pretty confident for someone who've been sick and bedridden for more than half his life"

"Start!" The referee shouted

Perseus aimed his pistols at Reynolds, and then there was several rune circles surrounding him, Perseus pulled the trigger and all of them shot out beams of arcana at him.

Reynolds took out a small pill and crushed it within his palms, a circular shield of arcana then blocked all the attack.

"Would've ended me right then and there if I hadn't use the pill" Reynolds chuckled "It was pretty expensive too"

Perseus didn't reply as he charged up his pistols again and several orbs of arcana appeared in front of each pistols and fired out simultaneously at Reynolds.

Reynolds then summoned several barriers to block the attack, an explosion then erupted creating smoke that covered the 2 in the arena. Perseus then sensed him incoming, so he pulled out his sword from his spatial ring and block the oncoming attack.

Reynolds wanted to take Perseus out by surprise, but his sword got intercepted. Due to having a larger build, it didn't take long for him to overpowered Perseus. Perseus then created a rune circle on the ground that boosts him upwards to get away from Reynolds.

He landed quite a distance away from Reynolds, he then got out another pair of pistols from his spatial ring.

"That looks weaker than your last ones" Reynolds chuckled

"Just wait and see" Perseus grinned "I just don't want to damage my usual pair"

Perseus then aimed one of his pistols to the air and charged his arcana to the brim into the pistol as veins of blue arcana starts to appear on the pistol cracking it, A large rune circle then appeared above the arena, the moment his pistol cracked and broke, there was a shower of arcana bullets coming down from the sky.

"Gatling rain" Perseus casted with a huge grin

"Shit" Reynolds cursed as he cracked another pill to summon a barrier to defend against the attack.

His barrier cracked under the onslaught of attacks, so he summoned several more barriers on top to help him defend against it.

< I can't summon more barriers, tch > Reynolds cursed

While he was busy focus on defending himself, Perseus was running towards while charging his pistol, it also started to crack under the amount of arcana Perseus was injecting it with.

All the barriers broke, so he surrounded his body with a thick layer of armor made from arcana. He then spotted Perseus in front of him with the barrel of the pistol pointing at him. The gun cracked under the intense pressure and blue flames shot out of the pistol.

"Incinerate!" Perseus casted as a blast of flames fired at Reynolds and consumed him whole, breaking his armor and burning him alive.
