Chapter 32: Attacked
The girl then fell from the sky as the referee then used his arcana to surround her falling body and make it float down to safety before declaring Perseus' victory.
"The victory goes to Perseus Silver!" he declared as the crowd then cheered louder than it has ever been "Perseus Silver is now qualified to proceed to the quarter finals and compete in the coliseum!"
"I did it! YES!" Perseus cheered to himself inside the arena

"I'm so proud of you" Nova said as he ruffled his hair "Who would've thought that a 10 year old would be able to make it all the way into the quarter finals and getting into the top 8"
"Yeah, you're the first in history, you know!" Olivia added "Your names is definitely going into the history books! Just imagine future children looking up to you and say 'I want to be like Perseus Silver in the future' "
"I think it already is" Dabria responded "No one has ever got their talent in the black stage before, he's the first, he's definitely going to be monitored quite closely"
"The fight looks so fun, why can't they allow spirit beasts to enter?" Ace complained
"If they do, I bet those snobby rich children will buy a bear or other strong beasts, you won't stand a chance against a bear or a lion" Siege answer
"Well, I can fight a bear, just get me in the ring, some fish beforehand and I'm set" Ace replied
"I'm so jealous" Emma pouted "I wanted to go to the quarter finals too"
"You'll get your chance, dear" Lauren tried to comfort her "You can still train for the one that is coming up in 5 years"
"Heh, I bet our business is going to boom after they know that we were the ones that made his equipments. You don't mind us using your name to advertise our workshop, right?" Luke asked
"I don't mind, just don't exaggerate things about me, I don't want any more rumors about me" Perseus answered
"Hear that Eliza, we're gonna be really busy from now on"

As the winners from the 8 arena is determined, one of the members of the council was being attacked. Soldiers were littered around the room, all dead. The councilor was backed up against the wall holding a pistol against his attackers.
"STAY AWAY!" he shouted in desperation "I'll shoot!"
"Sorry, councilor" Leona apologized "But you're the only one in the council that isn't being guarded by those strong rumored bodyguards, so we had to target you, besides, you can barely defend yourself, making you an even easier target"
"What do you want?! Money? Fame? Business connection? Just let me go, please" he begged
"Oh no, I don't want that" Leona giggled "Where's the skull? I know you know what I'm talking about"
The councilor then turned the gun to himself, but Leona took out her sword and swiftly cut off his arm
"I can't have you killing yourself now" she smiled "You're more useful to us alive, though I'll have a deal, you tell me where the skull is and I'll let you go free, you'll be able to meet your family and everyone you love, is that a deal?"
"Shut up bitc-" he cursed at her but she then kicked him in the face, he coughed blood
"Take him, and do not let him die at any cost or else" she ordered as people came in and took him away

Perseus and his family were heading out of the arena, but out there, they saw chaos. People were screaming and running wildly, enforcers and soldiers were arming themselves and ran in the opposite direction.
"Everyone, evacuate the area" A soldier shouted
"What's going on?" Craig asked and showed a badge "I need a quick status report"
"The red sword, they're attacking the civilians, sir" the soldier saluted "And with the chaos, councilor Dobie got attacked and his body wasn't found at the site, it is presumed that he's been kidnapped, sir"
"Damn it, just when I thought I could take a break from my job" Craig cursed "John, you'll get everyone here away from danger! Go back to your house, they won't attack there, make sure Lauren and Emma are safe, if one councilor got attacked, the others will too. I need to lend a hand"
He then bend down and kissed Emma on the forehead.
"I'll be back soon, prioritize your safety, don't forget what I taught you" he then got up kissed Lauren and left in a hurry
"Well you heard what the man said, Let's go!" John shouted "Everyone arm yourselves, we might meet enemies along the way"

"Albert, mobilize everyone that is available" Aenon ordered "I'll also be personally joining in"
"Yes sir, right away" Albert then put his communication amulet away and turned towards all the other guild leaders that was in his room
"Lucas, your guild join the royal protection squad and prioritize in protecting the royal family" he ordered "This half of the room, get your guild to protect the council and the rest of you will join me in protecting the civilians, kill any red sword member on sight. The headmaster is also personally joining."
The guild leaders gulped at the last statement before hurrying out of the room.
"Those red swords are so dead" Lucas chuckled "The greatest adventurer alive is going to be their enemy"
