Chapter 42: Coliseum
It was time for the quarter finals, Perseus got all his armors on and all his equipments ready.
"You sure that you don't need anything else?" Eliza asked
"No" Perseus answered as he strapped on his armor and checking his inventory "Even with luck and dimwitted opponents, making it to the finals would be a miracle"
"Be more confident in yourself" Ace comforted him
"Well I'll try, if Dabria lost, then my chances aren't high either, I'll try to cut off her arm before he completely overpowers me and obliterate me" Perseus grumbled
"This isn't the attitude I wasn't expecting from the guy who beat me" Cordelia commented as she entered the forge "You must Elliot's self proclaimed future girlfriend, my name is Cordelia Laguna, nice to meet you"
"Don't worry, I know her weakness, I just gotta attack her fast, attack her before she can respond and I'll win" Perseus muttered
"Oh you must be the girl from that underwater kingdom or whatever, I'm Elizabeth Iron, but call me Eliza" Eliza replied
"Seriously?" Siege nudged Elliot
"Yeah, a bit pathetic don't you think?" Emma nodded
"Oh Eliza, I got some more sweets for you as an apology for going to another smith last time" Perseus said as he handed her a pouch of sweets
"You sir are forgiven" Eliza responded as she took it "Oh this is great"
"You stand no chance" Cordelia said as she patted Elliot's back "Aim for someone else, I can introduce you to some of my friends if you want"
"I know...I know" Elliot sulked quietly "but thanks for the offer"
"You registered yet?" Perseus asked
"Yep, got my adventurer card right here" Cordelia showed them her card "I'm one of the scourges now...seriously we need to change that name, it's horrible"
"We know" the rest said in unison

It was in the blazing heat, the coliseum had no roof to protect the crowd from the sun's rays so they were all sweating.
Perseus was using his arcana to cool himself down as he was in a face off with his opponent. His opponent was a student who looked to be around 15 years old, 160cm tall, has black hair and green eyes and wears a uniform with a dragon crest underneath her armor named Julia Key.
"I don't know how you can make it here despite being a pipsqueak, but don't think of me like the others, I'll crush you like how I crushed those filths from the buries" Julia taunted him
"It'll be a real shame if I lost to you now, I'll humiliate you" Perseus responded
"You talk like those filths" Julia clicked her tongue "But you should've seen their faces when I almost killed them"
"Well in my personal opinion, those filth from the buries looks way better than you" Perseus insulted her
< Would be really embarrassing to lose to someone from the buries> Perseus grinned at the thought < I'll treat you like you treat those opponents of yours >
The match then started, Julia used an iron whip, and whipped it as a wrapped around Perseus' body.
Perseus then used his arcana and generated electricity, the electricity conducted through the whip and electrocuted Julia, she let go of the whip and Perseus charged in with a sword.
Perseus then tried to slash her arms, but Julia recovered and intercepted it with a sword of her own. Perseus backed away and she charged in, Perseus ducked and slashed her legs and swept her feet.
She fell and he jumped and grabbed her face, he activated his arcana and the palms of his hands exploded, it exploded several times as she then grabbed his arm and electrocuted him out of desperation.
Perseus then backed away and got out his guns and charged with arcana. From the smoke, she appeared as her face was a bloody mess.
"You little bitch" she cursed
"You're the one who looks like a little bitch" Perseus taunted her "Oh I always wanted to say that"
Perseus then aimed the gun upwards as a giant run circle appeared, Julia prepared barriers but instead of raining bullets, it was just a regular fierce storm, she was a bit shocked by it, so she let her guard down, Perseus aimed his other gun at her and shot out a beam of electricity that hit her and electrocuted her.
Perseus placed his guns back in his ring as he charged in, in his hands were yellow balls of some sort. Julia recovered and Perseus threw those balls at her, and it exploded as it got within her vicinity, turns out, the balls were lightning bombs that he prepared.
He then got out another bomb, but this one was blue in color, he threw it and it freezes his opponent. He then got out his sword and charged in again.
As he got closer, the ice started to crack as arcana started to leak out, when she broke free, Perseus charged in and cut off one of her arms and she screamed in pain as he charged in again before she could respond to his attack, she ducked and dodged her spells.
He slide under her and sliced her leg before going for her neck, the referee then jumped in and stopped his attack before he kills her.
"Stop it, you're going to kill her if you go any further" the judge warned "You win.
"Victory goes to Perseus Silver!" the referee announced as the rain stopped
Perseus then backed off
"No, I didn't lose, I can't lose to a kid like him!" Julia tried to make her point but it was clear that she lost
"You should see your face, filth would be an understatement" Perseus insulted her before he leaves "
