As a young woman Adair Fox enters the civilization test, the most difficult test in the entirety of the Galactic Empire, in hopes of achieving that highest of honors and finally becoming eligible to meet her parents. During the test Adair acts out of desperation and uses a dangerous ritual to save her people, only to get betrayed by them shortly after. Unfortunately not only does Adair fail the test, but she also finds herself trapped in a void for thousands of years until she eventually meets up with another being. She makes a deal with the Reincarnation Machine, which allows her to go back in time and become a sorceress.

The Forgotten Ability

While these weapons were definitely interesting to Adair as she inspected a sword that appeared to be made out of a tooth of some giant beast, she really was not feeling any connection with any of these weapons. 


That was until she came across an item that looked like it was meant to be a shield, but it was made out of a multicolored feather. This item intrigued her since she didn't really know how such a shield would protect her from something like a bullet or even a magic bullet. 


She lifted it up, and it was incredibly light. It was significantly lighter than she expected, honestly. It was as if she had only picked up a sheet of paper. But it was easily twice as big as Adair. She swung it around, wondering how it would feel if she actually used it in a battle, and it felt pretty natural, but that still did not mean a whole bunch since all the weapons and shields so far felt very natural to her.
