Chapter 76

As Adair was bound in the cage, she wondered how she should respond to the questions that were going to be coming her way. The easiest things she could do was to hide nothing and speak the truth. She knew that she would be doing her any good, though.

Her next option was to say nothing, and she also figured that this probably wasn't a very good option, but it was most likely better than admitting the truth to everything. Just as she thought about this, she realized, depending on what she said and did, whatever immunity she had as a diplomat of the Sanctuary could easily be revoked.

This also made her realize she really didn't know what laws were in place to protect her in a situation like this, and she wondered if the country she was in would even let those laws come into play or would she be shipped off to a hidden jail that was outside the law.
