As a young woman Adair Fox enters the civilization test, the most difficult test in the entirety of the Galactic Empire, in hopes of achieving that highest of honors and finally becoming eligible to meet her parents. During the test Adair acts out of desperation and uses a dangerous ritual to save her people, only to get betrayed by them shortly after. Unfortunately not only does Adair fail the test, but she also finds herself trapped in a void for thousands of years until she eventually meets up with another being. She makes a deal with the Reincarnation Machine, which allows her to go back in time and become a sorceress.

The Forgotten Ability

<p>While they were waiting, more and more cracks continued to appear in the crystal dome around them. At first, Adair thought that the person making the cracks was trying to break in. It readily became apparent that whoever was making them was using them as warnings since on several occasions attacks completely opening the sphere appeared and no one came through, but as time went on, it appeared that the attacker was starting to get fed up since severely damaging attacks continued to rain down on the sphere.</p>

<p>Around 15 minutes in, Adair was unsure how much longer the attacker would continuously be giving out warning shots and start making actual attacks, and while Cassandra was doing her best to patch the holes that were being created, it clearly wasn't enough.</p>
