As a young woman Adair Fox enters the civilization test, the most difficult test in the entirety of the Galactic Empire, in hopes of achieving that highest of honors and finally becoming eligible to meet her parents. During the test Adair acts out of desperation and uses a dangerous ritual to save her people, only to get betrayed by them shortly after. Unfortunately not only does Adair fail the test, but she also finds herself trapped in a void for thousands of years until she eventually meets up with another being. She makes a deal with the Reincarnation Machine, which allows her to go back in time and become a sorceress.

The Forgotten Ability

As she lay on the ground in pain, she eventually noticed that someone was standing over her and was trying to talk with her. She couldn't hear what they were saying, though, for some reason, as the pain that was coursing through her wings and body was just too much for her to handle.

She then suddenly felt stabbing pains on her wings, and she opened her eyes again to look at who was attacking her and tried to retaliate, but at first, she was confused for a second when she saw her instructor was the one that was touching her wings.

And for a brief second, she felt betrayed once again by someone in power. And she was actually starting to lose hope in the people of power since this was not the first time where someone harmed her directly or indirectly if they had the chance.
