As a young woman Adair Fox enters the civilization test, the most difficult test in the entirety of the Galactic Empire, in hopes of achieving that highest of honors and finally becoming eligible to meet her parents. During the test Adair acts out of desperation and uses a dangerous ritual to save her people, only to get betrayed by them shortly after. Unfortunately not only does Adair fail the test, but she also finds herself trapped in a void for thousands of years until she eventually meets up with another being. She makes a deal with the Reincarnation Machine, which allows her to go back in time and become a sorceress.

The Forgotten Ability

<p>Even though she said this in a very convincing voice instructor, Kai still seemed very skeptical of her commitment to this endeavor. And this is when she figured that it didn't really matter what she said since she felt that she had said the most convincing thing that she could have said and if he didn't believe her after her saying that, then it would have to be her actions that proved her point instead of her words.  </p>

<p>And she was willing to do this, at least for the time being, because she had decided that she was willing to do what it took to accomplish this newfound goal of hers. In a bit of reflection on what she said, she realized that it did kind of sound like what a toddler would say to their parents when they asked her what she wanted to do when she grew up, but she set that matter aside since thought since she really did not want to start doubting herself just seconds after she had made such a big commitment.  </p>
