As a young woman Adair Fox enters the civilization test, the most difficult test in the entirety of the Galactic Empire, in hopes of achieving that highest of honors and finally becoming eligible to meet her parents. During the test Adair acts out of desperation and uses a dangerous ritual to save her people, only to get betrayed by them shortly after. Unfortunately not only does Adair fail the test, but she also finds herself trapped in a void for thousands of years until she eventually meets up with another being. She makes a deal with the Reincarnation Machine, which allows her to go back in time and become a sorceress.

The Forgotten Ability

<p>While she was a bit worried about what Roxanne would do to her staff, she wasn't too worried since there really was no reason for Roxanne to harm it or do anything that was detrimental to it as far as she could tell.</p>

<p>One thing that she was able to notice now that she wasn't able to before was that she was able to actively communicate with her staff nearly any time she wanted. She was also able to tell how it was feeling, and she even felt that she could look more into what her staff felt, such as reading its memories or taking control of it, but she didn't do so since she hated when that had happened to her and she assumed that her staff would have a similar reaction to her doing it to it, so she was just content knowing that her staff was doing good.</p>
