As a young woman Adair Fox enters the civilization test, the most difficult test in the entirety of the Galactic Empire, in hopes of achieving that highest of honors and finally becoming eligible to meet her parents. During the test Adair acts out of desperation and uses a dangerous ritual to save her people, only to get betrayed by them shortly after. Unfortunately not only does Adair fail the test, but she also finds herself trapped in a void for thousands of years until she eventually meets up with another being. She makes a deal with the Reincarnation Machine, which allows her to go back in time and become a sorceress.

After saying this, Roxanne further stated. "I guess there is a fourth option as well, and that is that you are able to accept an art from the school you are currently going to and allow them to teach you everything you need to know since they will be the most familiar with it."

"Do be aware, though, that it is for all intents and purposes impossible for you to change your opinion on this in the future unless you die and are reincarnated. Even then though most people who are reincarnated are extremely reluctant to unless their first enhancement art was really bad."

Hearing this did not really change her opinion on the matter, though, since she figured that if the method was so bad that after training with it, it was either easily overpowered or if the difficulty was too much to keep on using, then it was the users own fault for not choosing a better art for themselves.
