In this world, having an additional demon with decent power, or rather strong power, was not too remarkable. Orthodox churches had deep roots and could easily wipe them out with a wave of their hand.

As a result, demons were either hidden in remote places or were very cautious in human society, not daring to cause too much trouble.

Often, the ones that were dealt with were the low-end, brainless characters like the one that possessed Mrs. Hughes.

The real problem for the churches, however,

was the higher-specification Evil God-summoning ceremonies.

Because the major churches monopolized this high-specification ceremony, all recorded summonings deemed as "Evil God" had been, without exception, conducted by high-ranking members from within these churches.

These people were often referred to as "traitors", not only betraying their churches but also attempting to subvert the entire framework of order.
