Chapter 31: Discount_3

Karen brought the pig's head to the second-floor kitchen, ready to cook.

Today's main course was bean rice, and since there was bath chap for the main dish, Karen added less diced meat to the bean rice.

Side dishes included egg custard, vegetables, and soup.

Additionally, Karen fried some chips.

Once the dishes were served, Dis sat at the head of the table, and Aunt Mary, Aunt Winnie, Paul, and Ron joined him for the meal.

Uncle Mason was not at home today, as he had gone to treat the officials in charge of the Hughes Crematorium Association auction to a meal. Before leaving, however, he'd specially instructed Karen to save some food for him.

The cousins were at school today.

Cooking for the family gave Karen a great sense of satisfaction, similar to the fulfillment and happiness of feeding pigs.

Karen went downstairs and added some dog food to Golden Retriever's food bowl.
