THE PRINTS

The phone was quickly unlocked by her as she touched it, it used the sense and unlock feature.

On opening the phone, she immediately searched for the camera icon and clicked on it, she started to take various pictures in different poses and, made a couple of videos on different online forums.

In a well-lit modern room, a man could be seen sitting with legs crossed on a white cushioned chair, with a half-filled glass of whiskey by his side,

He had his face glued to a white tablet he was reading something from.

As if hearing something, he looked up, and the metallic sliding door adjacent to where he was seated slowly slid open.

And there was the sound of someone struggling and arguing.

The person mabey realized he didn't have any way out and decided to face the situation head-on.

Williams...why have you brought me here.."

A voice could be heard asking the man seated inside,

A well-built man who looked to be in his mid-forties, had brown skin, and a mast amount of mane sat on his head, he obviously was a Horstiside.

, walked into the room, with hesitation in his stance,

"Dear Jake, come on in.."

The seated man said as he dropped the tablet he was holding, he also had a large mane of hair, on his head and around his jawline, he had trimmed claws on both his hands, he was a Lionide.

"Not, like I am not in already.."

Jake said sounding hostile.

The seated Williams didn't seem affected by how hostile Jack was acting toward him, he still had a calm smile on his face.

"Answer me, Williams!.. Why have you brought me here…"

Jake repeated his question.

"Have a seat, Jake…"

"I would stand .."

Jake said not to change his stands.

"Sit Jack, stop being stubborn.."

Williams said, picking up the glass of whiskey by the side, and bringing it to his lips..he took a sip.

Jack seeing as Williams was not going to answer him if he didn't sit,

Moved to the chair closest to him and plopped down on it.

"Good, so how have you been .."

"What do you want, Williams?...."

Chuckling Williams cleared his throat.

"I see, always straight to the point.."

"I don't think that would be a good question to ask when you abducted someone from their home …."

Jack said with bitterness in his voice.

"I am so sorry about that, it seems like Pete had misunderstood what I told him to do…I would definitely punish him…"

Jack did not reply to him and just kept staring at him.

"You see Jack..I would be needing the prints you had taken from my safe.."

Williams said straight forward, dropping all pretense of friendliness, and the calm smile on his face was nowhere to be seen.

"...What ..prints are you talking about..?"

Jack said flustered.

"So you want to go the hard way, hun…?"

Williams said with his face darkening.

"I didn't take any prints from you.."

Jake started trying to sound brave.

"For the sake of how useful you are to me …I would ask you one last time …Where are the prints.?.."

Williams said, his voice now louder as he stood up from his seat.

"Why..are you accusing me of taking the prints ..? for all you know it might be someone else.."

Jack said, also standing from his seat and going on the defense.

"Ha..ha..ha…."

Williams let out strings of laughter as he turned his back on Jack and took slow steps, with his hands crossed behind his back.

"You know... Jack, for someone so smart, you are also very stupid…."

Williams said as he got in front of a ten inches long table,

Running his hand along the planes of the well-polished metallic table.

"What ..are you talking about..?"

Jack said, taking a step back, in fear as if already knew what would happen next.

"You shouldn't have taken it, Jack…."

Williams said, shaking his head slowly.

"But..I didn't, you can check the cameras.."

"Oh..hush.. now Jack it's all out in the open.., you and I both know that you could easily hack the CTV and erase all traces.."

"That doesn't..make me a suspect, your security team can do the same thing…"

Jack said with his hands in front of him.

"You are right…You are right Jack…"

Williams said now coming to stand behind the table and was now facing Jack.

"Okay,... it's all right, you don't have to apologize for accusing me..you should learn to have a bit of trust in me.."

Jack said with sweat dripping from his face and clasping his hands, trying to hide his shaking hand.

But his statement was met with silence.

"Now,.. that it is all resolved..., I would like to take my leave now.."

Jack said calmly trying to mask how eager he was to get out of the room and far away from this man.

But the way Williams was staring at him was unnerving,

Williams was seated on the chair behind the table and crossed his hands..watching Jack's every movement with sharp eyes.

"Okay…I will leave now.."

Jack started and calmly made his way to the door, trying not to look behind, because he found it unbelievable that Williams would just let him go.

But seeing as he was not telling him to stop, his racing heart began to calm down, with the door just three steps away from him,

He heard the voice that stopped him in his steps,

"Stop!!..."

With his heart now beating fast again, he calmly asked...

"What is it, Williams?.."

Jack answered not daring to turn his back to face him.

"Would you mind explaining to me what this was doing in my office….?"

Turning around slowly Jack turned to face Williams.

"What….?"

Jack wondered what Williams was talking about.

Just then something clicked on the floor in front of him.

Looking down to find a small white laboratory case in front of him.

Bending down slowly and picking it up.

"What is in it .. Williams?"

"Why don't you open it up, and tell me…."
