The visit with Astra and Nigeria was enough for the ache in my chest to return. But it wasn't as bad. Nigeria helped ease it. Even if she wasn't mine.
Astor stood at the window in my office as we waited for Raph and Silias. I needed them both here for this talk as well. Lily has stayed behind with Astra and Arden. I would have to send word to the Twins. They would have to return.
Astor pulls me to him wrapping his arms around me tightly.
"What's going on in that head of yours?" I shrug and lean against him. I wasn't going to tell him without the others. The door opens and I slowly pull away from Astor. Raph and Silias silently walk in.
Raph frowns at Astor but doesn't say anything. Silias however wiggles his eyebrows at me causing me to roll my eyes at him.
"So you are here because..Whether we like it or not there is a war coming..And we need to take steps to insure the safety of Our people. Not just the ones here." Astor sighs. But Raph nods his head.
"What do you have in mind your majesty?" I glare at Silias's words. I wasn't fond of titles.
"Dragon's Keep. It's the safest place and it has the room. Not to mention the land around it is protected. Dark magic can't penitrate it." Silias nods in agreement.
"What do you need me to do?" I smile. I was glad that he was on the same page as me.
"I need you to portal supplies and anything else you can think of that the people may need. We will need to look into finding a few healers and a doctor to go there as well. It wouldn't hurt if another Mage was here too." Raph looked almost surprised.
"What do you need me to do my love?" I look up at Astor and smile.
"I need a few warriors to volunteer to go as well. Just incase." Astor nods and sits down at the desk and begins writting things down.
"Frey..are you sure about this?" I look at Raph who was clearly not sold on the idea.
"I don't have a choice. I need to keep them safe and The safest place is Dragon's Keep." Raph sighs and nods his head.
"What else do you think that we need to make this work?" I inhale a deep breath.
"Someone will need to be in command while we are here and they are there." Astor smirks.
"A task for my Mother then?" I nod my head and let out a long sigh.
"Silias gather a few guards. Have them help you with the supplies and start portaling things now. For now just place them inside." Silias nods and turns walking out.
"What do you want me to do?" I round the desk and walk up to Raph.
"I want you to go into the town and tell a few people that you trust about the move. I want you to say that we are moving people to The Tower." Raph's eyebrows draw together.
"I don't understand?" I smirk and suppress an eye roll at him.
"If our enemy hears of it I'm sure they will try an ambush us outside The Tower. It will be the perfect distraction. Plus The Order leaves no alive." Raph chuckles and shakes his head.
"Careful you almost sound smart Frey." I did roll my eyes then.
"Just do it." He nods and walks out too. Leaving me alone again with Astor. I turn to him and he's busy writing away. I arch an eyebrow at me and round around the desk again to see what he is writing. Warrior names and ranks.
"You have thought alot about this?" I shrug as Astor pulls me down into his lap. I glare at him playfully.
"I have. No one else needs to die. If we can protect them then we will." Astor chuckles and kisses my cheek lightly.
"What else do we need to do?" I sigh and look over his papers.
"We should send a formal request for the assistance of two other Mages and then we should send word to the lower ranked alphas and let them know what is coming and offer shelter. They are our people as well but I will not force them to fight."
Astor hums and then tightens his hold on me.
"I can't get you to sit this out can I?" I frown but don't turn to face him.
"No. I can fight. And I will fight. Plus I can project Shade. So that does give us an advantage." Astor groans and leans back in the chair.
I door bursts open causing me to jump alittle. Damien looked slightly pale and out of breath.
"A Seer has come. She wants to see the Luna and refuses to leave." Both my eyebrows shoot up. A seer? Don't they usually stay away from other supernaturals? Close contact for to long and a seer could see your entire life all the way up to your death.
But one had come of her own free will? Something must be wrong. I stand up and walk toward the door when Damien grabs my arm. I arch an eyebrow at him.
"Luna..Seers are unpredictable." I shake his arm off and turn to Astor. He stood directly behind me.
"Your going to stop me?" Astor smirks and glances at Damien.
"No. I'm not. But I am coming with you." I nod and push passed Damien. Astor took my hand as we mad ever way to The Throne Room.
Shade stirs close to the surface. Ready to take on whatever was about to happen. Astor squeezes my hand gently. Reminding me that he was here. And that we were in this together. No matter what was going to happen.
I inhale a deep breath to steady my nerves. I had only met a Seer once in my life and it was after my parents died..She said that The Goddess had laid a hard road ahead of me but that I would get through it. I didn't pay attention to her at the time. But now...Now I understood. A hard road indeed.
