It Can Be Done

Jardan then manipulated the energy and held it up in the air. His hands moved down to his sides, but the balls of energy continued to dance. They moved about in complex patterns that left a trail of fading light.

With a flick of wrists still held at his side, the energy disappeared and the blueish light faded. Callie gasped while Jardan smiled in response.

“That was…amazing.” Her words came out soft and low. “How did you do that?”

“Easy. I saw the energy and called it to me.”

“From where?”

Jardan held up his hands into the air. “All around me. We are connected to nature. The energy in nature is part of us. The blood that runs in your veins helps you to connect and communicate.”

Callie looked down at her own hands. “Hard to believe it’s possible.”

“Give it a try.”

She gave him a doubtful look. “Easier said than done.”

“Says the girl who walked into a stone wall and then down a flight of stairs.” His smile reached his eyes.
