"Kyran? I am ready."
I walked out, wearing a knee length summer dress, and a wide headband. I had on a pair of loafers, and minimal jewellery. I wanted to impress him, I guess, yet, keep things informal.
He walked to meet me halfway.
"You clean up pretty well," he said, then tucked a stray strand of hair away, letting his fingers hover slightly over my ears. He let then gradually fall, leaving feathery touches down to my neck and shoulder, before he withdrew his hand.
I cleared my throat, trying to force myself back to reality. "Well, I.."
He smiled, then held my hand. "Let's go."
I followed him, slightly distracted by the small strokes of his thumb on the back of my hand. It was, to say the least, electrifying in a way I wanted to keep experiencing.
"Do you intend to walk there?" I stared up at him as we walked out, the sun illuminating his hair and his profile. He looked down and smiled.
