After lunch, Julian and Pacht returned to their classroom while Gill and Lee went back to their training. Julian was still quite nervous on how Devin would react after their encounter.
It turns out that how Prince Gabriel cut the relationship with Devin and his brother was yet to be announced. The process took quite some time because the brother had his own connections in the gambling den, blocking the papers from coming through.
When the crown prince himself was the one who processed the papers, the brother had no other choice but to accept his fate. He lost his title, his money, and even his house and now the gambling den is trying to chase him for his debts.
"Hello," Julian opened the door and saw Devin sit by the window. "Count Devin?"
The boy seemed be out of it. It took Julian a couple more times to call him before he actually responded, "Oh, I'm so sorry."
"Hey," Devin said. "We know you're hungry, so here."
Pacht handed Devin a paper bag which contained a lunch set. Julian and him then sat beside Devin, smiling at the count.
"You can tell us anything," Julian said. "And also, Gill just mentioned that Prince Gabriel had removed all of your ties with your brother. Your countdom is no longer liable for his debts."
"What?" Devin said with actual sparkles in his eyes. "Really? I've been trying to let that request pass, but there were dukes who blocked me."
"The crown prince himself moved," Pacht said. "There's nothing mere dukes can do."
"Oh, wow," Devin smiled brightly. "I have to thank him for this. This really means a lot for me. You just don't–"
"Calm down, Count Devin," Julian chuckled. "You're alright."
"Oh," Devin said. "That reminds me. You can talk to us casually. You have a really high rank than us, so it's okay for you to not call us with our titles anymore."
Julian smiled. He wasn't like most of the royalties or nobilities. He was raised to view people as his equal even when they are a commoner or a prince like him. His parents did not want him to look down on anyone because just as they say, not everyone is born like him.
As Julian grew up, he always respected all the people around him and that respect would always find its way back. That was why there wasn't a lot of backlash when the king and queen announced that the heir of their kingdom lies in the shoulders of an omega prince.
From his parents alone, the principles had been passed down to the people and they respected the king and queen. Although there were some raised eyebrows, Julian knew that that was inevitable. You can't avoid darkness when you're carrying the light itself.
As Devin ate, Julian felt a pair of eyes watching him from somewhere. This made him uncomfortable even though he had been through this a lot of times before, it never gets better.
Just before the creepy gaze gets to him, Julian excused himself and went to the restroom to wash his face. There, he saw the four alphas who tried to hit on him on the first day of school.
"Oh," one of them spoke. He was a tall but thin man, dark green hair and dark green eyes. He had a bandana on his forehead that made him look like a gangster rather than a nobility. "If it isn't one of the three little omega ducklings."
"Excuse me," Julian tried tried to get to the sink but was blocked by another one of the alphas. "Where are you going, Prince Julian? We're just here to talk."
"I need to pee," Julian lied. "Please, excuse me."
One of them had the courage to walk close to Julian and whisper in his ear, "You can pee on me. I don't mind."
The stench of the pheromones from the alphas invaded Julian's nose. He tried to cover his nose but one of them held his hands. The prince grit his teeth as he tried to cover his breath, failing when one of the alphas got close to him, causing him to gasp.
"You know," the alpha with the bandana said. "You can never rule a kingdom without an alpha, that's a fact."
One of them nodded. He was leaning on one of the stalls while he crossed his arms. "Yeah, and you have four alphas right here. You can choose either one, two, three, or even all of us to rule with you. You just have to use your body to pay us."
"So, what do you say?" the bandana alpha asked with a smirked.
"No," Julian answered sternly. "I will rule the kingdom like how I wanted to, with an alpha or not. Also, you guys are just a tad bit alpha. You're nothing but betas."
"Oh, really?" the bandana alpha grit his teeth. His hand was clenched on a fist and he pulled it back. "This should let you know who's boss."
Before the punch could land, something flicked inside of Julian like a light switch. His eyes turned pitch black and his body became light like it was air. He pulled his hand away from one of them and spun, causing the bandana alpha to punch the air.
Julian walked to the back of the alpha, slamming his elbow on his back, causing the alpha to crash onto the ground. This made the others' eyes widened. They took a couple of steps back but their pride immediately took over their rationality.
"You're just an omega!" one of them yelled and also tried to attack Julian.
Julian yawned and raised his arms in the air, jumping off of the ground and using the sink as a stepping stone just so his feet could kick the alpha in the face. The man crashed to the door of the bathroom, breaking it and making him land outside.
"That's cute," Julian chuckled as he landed on the ground with both his feet. "Was that all?"
"Why you–" The two remaining alphas were about to attack when a streak of lightning and a trail of glitters entered the room. Romeo and Gabriel held the punches of each alpha, their eyes blaring with anger and fury.
"What are you doing?" Romeo growled to the alpha who was previously leaning on one of the stalls. "You think you can hurt an omega just because you're an omega?"
"This school is really damned," Gabriel chuckled. "I guess we need to reevaluate these students, don't you think, Mr. President?"
"Indeed," Romeo replied. He twisted the man's arm and slammed him to the ground with as little force as he could. But even so, his attack still caused a huge crash and a crack on the ground. "They need reevaluation. Let's start with you though."
"Oh," Gabriel laughed. He only narrowed his hand on the other man, causing him to roll his eyes to the back of his head and fall to the ground. "You're more violent than I am."
"Even though they fight for Julian's heart," Lee whispered to Gill as they watched from the doorway. "They agree on one thing. And that's keeping Julian safe."
"True," was Gill's only response.
