A NICE GUY

Rendra seemed deliberately not wanting to let go of their hands. He was enjoying the moment too much.

It seemed useless Aleeta tried to break the link, because Rendra was holding her hand very tightly. It was certain what would happen if he tried to take it off.

The hand grip had to be released when the car they were driving had stopped at a hospital not far from a shopping center. Disappointed. Of course. However, Rendra had to give it up, because he had to get Aleeta's feet checked immediately.

Immediately Rendra got out of the car, then went around the front of the car and opened the door for Aleeta.

"Come on," said Rendra, holding out his hand in a position ready to carry Aleeta.

However, the woman gently pushed Rendra's hand away. Don't want to be a spectacle again like in the supermarket earlier.

"You just daddy me, Ryan." Aleeta tried to negotiate when Rendra was about to carry her again.

"No, Aleeta. It's dangerous. What if the pain gets worse and you end up unable to walk? That's it. I'll just carry you."

"That doesn't make sense, Ryan. How can there be someone who can't walk just because of this small wound," Aleeta protested to Ryan because she thought the man's words were too much.

"Don't take things for granted, Aleeta. Now the wound is small, but if left untreated it can get bigger. What if it gets worse and becomes infected, of course you won't be able to walk, right?"

Aleeta scrunched her face in annoyance. He really wanted to deny it all. However, the woman did not want to argue with Ryan.

When Aleeta was still at war with her mind, suddenly Rendra lifted his body. This time there was no resistance from the woman. How the woman was about to refuse, while Rendra had already carried her before she protested.

Rendra smiled triumphantly when Aleeta had wrapped her arms around the man's neck and resigned herself to be carried by him.

When she was on the threshold of entering the hospital, a nurse brought Aleeta a wheelchair out of compassion for Rendra.

"Sir, you can put the Miss here now. I'm sure you're exhausted from carrying her from the parking lot," said the nurse pushing the wheelchair.

However, the man refused and wanted to take Aleeta with his own hands to the ER.

"Thank you. But I'm still strong, really."

While Aleeta, who was very embarrassed, again could only hide her face, covering it with her hands.

"Put me down now Ryan, otherwise I'll be mad at you. You carry me as if it's a very serious wound," Aleeta whispered in a low voice.

Rendra didn't care and kept walking confidently.

"We've discussed it earlier, Aleeta. I won't drop you off unless you're in the ER," Rendra replied, emphasizing at the end of his sentence.

Aleta exhaled slowly. Now he is resigned to even though it will be the headline in tomorrow's news.

A young female doctor who was on duty in the emergency room approached Rendra as soon as he entered the room. The man immediately put Aleeta in the ward so that she could be examined and treated for her wound.

"What happened to the patient?" the doctor asked quickly, not seeing any serious injuries or blood.

"He's injured his leg, Doctor." Rendra answered while pointing at the wound on Aleeta's leg after removing the woman's high heels.

Shy. Aleeta could only stare at the ceiling blankly.

"You mean this wound?" the doctor tried to confirm by pointing to the place Rendra was referring to.

"Yes, Doctor. Quickly clean and treat the wound, otherwise he won't be able to walk," said Rendra with a face so panicked that the doctor was at a loss for words.

"But this wound ...." The doctor's words stopped when he saw Aleeta's face which had turned red. "Okay, I'll treat it right away. So, you please wait outside," he added with a serious face too.

Rendra nodded and held the doctor's hands as he said, "I leave everything to, Doctor. I ask you to do the best for her."

After that, Rendra left the room. He did not sit down and remained standing at the door.

Meanwhile the doctor took the equipment he needed, then returned to Aleeta.

"You must be really tired, huh?" the doctor asked Aleeta as she started to clean the wound.

Aleeta who was covering her eyes with the back of her hand just shook her head slowly.

"It's just a small cut, doc. I didn't walk here anyway. The doctor saw for himself, didn't he?"

The doctor was silent for a moment watching Aleeta who might want to hide in the hole and disappear because she was very embarrassed.

"I mean, you must be tired of receiving all your lover's excessive attention," concluded the doctor, chuckling remembering how worried Rendra was, the man's treatment and words earlier.

Aleeta smiled awkwardly at those words. Honestly, it had only been one day that he had faced Rendra's attention and he was already quite tired and embarrassed for sure. However, knowing that there was someone who cared and valued him that much also warmed his heart.

"Doctor, it's possible. Don't say anything else, Doc, I'm embarrassed," said Aleeta whose face was getting redder.

It seems that if he is with Rendra he has to thicken his face so as not to be embarrassed.

"Eh, why? Right, good. Many, you know, women who complain because their partner is less or less attentive. You are one of the lucky ones." The doctor smiled kindly at Aleeta's words.

"Yes, Doc. But he's overly attentive. And, again... we haven't been together yet." Aleeta deliberately lowered her voice at the end of the sentence out of embarrassment.

Maybe the doctor will think bad things about him.

"Wow, so still approaching, huh?" Aleta nodded in agreement. "Wouldn't that be something to consider for you? Did you see his reaction earlier? Even when he wasn't a person to you, he was already that worried and that concerned. Doesn't that mean he's a nice guy?"

Aleta was silent. What the doctor said was true. Only Rendra has always treated her with respect. Does that mean she has to accept Rendra's feelings and immediately give an answer to his feelings? After all, Aleeta also felt the same way.

There is a sense of comfort that is difficult to describe when with Ryan. Aleeta's new feelings made her confused herself.

"Well, it's done," said the doctor showing his work.

Before Aleeta had time to say thank you, the doctor had called Rendra.

"How are you now, Aleeta?" asked Rendra with a look filled with anxiety.

"He's all right now. I'll give him some ointment so the wound doesn't leave a mark."

"Okay. But he can still walk again, can't he, doctor?" replied Rendra again asking to make sure everything.

Instead of answering, the doctor was silent.

"I beg your pardon, sir. But I don't think so."
