BE MY FIANCÉ

Rendra chuckled annoyed looking at Ryan. I don't know why his assistant knew if he meant to call Aleeta. The man was really impatient to hear the woman's next sentence.

Without caring about Ryan's warning, Rendra took out his cell phone and tried to contact Aleeta. However, in vain. Again the woman did not answer the call. Either because he was really busy or it was just a trick to make Rendra more curious.

"Shit!" Rendra again cursed annoyed when his call went unanswered.

Ryan, who saw this, looked pity. It wasn't usually his boss that was so pathetic like that. Aleeta's influence has completely changed him.

Ryan accelerated the swing of his legs and equalized steps with Rendra. Then, lightly tapped the man's shoulder to encourage him.

"Don't worry, Boss. Miss Aleeta must be just busy with work and not paying attention to her cell phone. If she sees a missed call from you, she'll definitely call you. Let's have lunch first, shall we? You need a lot of strength to face this tiring day, right?"

Rendra, who was reluctant to respond and instead hastened his steps towards his room. He immediately plopped down on the sofa which was located in front of his oversized chair.

"I think I'm going to die of curiosity before Aleeta gives me the answer, Ryan," complained Rendra stretching his arms along the back of the sofa, tilting his head which was also resting on the back of the sofa.

"Should I just give up?" he asked again, staring blankly at the ceiling.

Ryan sat down on the sofa opposite where Rendra was sitting. Linking both hands resting on his thighs.

"Why give up, Boss? As far as I know everything is going according to your wishes. I'm sure if Miss Aleeta feels the same way as you," Ryan replied with a surprised face.

Ryan is very sure that Rendra and Aleeta have the same taste. It's just that for some reason the woman seemed to build a barrier against Rendra.

Rendra was completely rounded hearing this. He sat himself up straight and said, "Are you sure?"

Ryan answered with a firm nod, because he was sure after seeing Aleeta's behavior the other day.

"However ...." Ryan hung up on his words and Rendra's smile immediately disappeared from his face. "You have to give her time, Boss. I don't know what, but it looks like Miss Aleeta needs some time to convince herself that she really loves you."

Rendra was stunned and thought about Ryan's words which seemed to be true. The proof is, sometimes Aleeta accepts her sweet treatment. However, on several occasions he seemed to avoid Rendra.

"Then, what should I do? All this time I've been trying to approach him slowly. But, it seems the wall he built has not completely collapsed." Rendra sighed softly thinking about Aleeta's volatile attitude.

Ryan changed his sitting position by leaning his back and crossing his right leg over his left.

"Stay close as you are now, Boss. Don't be rushed and don't slow down either. Let Mrs. Aleeta get used to your presence and attention. If she gets used to it, then she will accept you by herself." Ryan seemed convinced by the solution he provided.

Rendra nodded his head in agreement with Ryan's idea.

Meanwhile, Aleeta is having a meeting with one of her clients who happens to be her old school friend. They seemed engrossed in chatting over lunch after discussing slices of work.

"Why?" asked Aleeta who felt uncomfortable after being stared at by Dimas for a while.

"You're still the same as before, Aleeta. It hasn't changed," answered Dimas, shaking his head with a small smile.

"What am I like?" Aleeta put down her cutlery, put her hands on the table and put on an even expression.

Dimas laughed at that. He used one hand to cover his mouth. His eyes narrowed to form a curved line indicating that it was very cute for the man. Reedem demi dryer Drift'drummer

"Just like now," replied Dimas, still holding back his laughter.

"What do you mean, anyway? I still don't get it." Aleeta put on a serious face by leaning slightly forward.

"Yes, like now. You can't be joked around at least, you'll be serious right now. But by the way, your boyfriend isn't here, right?" Dimas said as he looked left and right looking for Rendra's figure.

Instead of being afraid, Dimas just didn't want to provoke a commotion. He remembered well how their last meeting was.

Aleeta became embarrassed and scratched her cheek with the tip of her index finger.

"Actually ... he's not my boyfriend yet," Aleeta said with a small chuckle at the end of her sentence.

"It means." Dimas was a little surprised and changed the way he sat. Link your hands and lean slightly.

"Yes, that's what it means. We're not dating yet, but we're still in the approach stage," Aleeta replied honestly.

Yes, Dimas is not someone else after all. They've been friends for quite some time.

A look of pleasure was clearly visible on Dimas' face, who breathed a sigh of relief after hearing the woman's answer.

"Thank God," Dimas whispered in an almost inaudible voice. However, for some reason Aleeta actually heard it. It made the woman drop her eyebrows in surprise.

"Why are you grateful, Dimas. What is there to be grateful for?" Aleeta seemed not to accept Dimas' words.

"That means, thank God you're not dating him yet. I've heard quite a few bad rumors about him. However, fortunately you haven't officially become his girlfriend," Dimas explained at length. In fact, he was really grateful because he still had the opportunity to approach Aleeta as a man, not as a friend.

"Yes, I've also heard some bad rumors about him. But ... actually Rendra is a very good man. You wonder where the bad rumors came from. Honestly, I intend to accept his feelings, Dimas. But I'm still not sure."

Instantly, his face changed. Yes, although not very visible because the man managed to cover it up. Actually, he has had feelings for Aleeta for a long time. However, he remembered very well that the woman had closed her heart to other men because of her little best friend.

Dimas still can't understand what makes Rendra different to be able to break down such a big barrier on Aleeta.

What if he tried harder, he would be able to conquer Aleeta?

Dimas just had the pleasure of being able to collaborate with Aleeta. He thought it could be a bridge to establish a relationship more than a friend.

"But, I'm thinking of a way to test how much Rendra loves me, Dimas."

Aleeta's face looked happy to say that. Maybe that was a good idea he thought. Making Dimas hope, if only he could know what the woman was going to do, of course he would be very happy.

Aleeta grabbed and held both of Dimas' hands, then said, "Do you want to pretend to be my fiancé whom my parents arranged for me?"
