Chapter 021 Hello Ego -3

Song Recommendation: Still Learning by Halsey

Delia relaxed her shoulders with a grin, "It's not my fault, I didn't have enough time to think of a good name".

"Oh", her reflection nodded, giving a light smile.

"Now, back to serious business, what are you?", Delia rise a brow.

The reflection smiled, "I'm you. Part of you"

"Obviously. But what specifically are you?" Delia narrowed her eyes, waiting for more details.

"I am your ego".

"Ego?"

"Psychologically", the girl pointed out.

"Ooh", Delia understood. With mild knowledge of psychology, she knew the human mind has a good and bad side.

Surprisingly, the good side is named, Ego, while the bad is Id. To her, she had Quith as her id.

"Okay... But, why do you have a physical form?- I mean how?"

"Because I am slightly more superior than those petty demons that crawl only in the shadows".

"Oh okay... And? Why are you here?"

"Because I was tired of whispering".

Delia crooked her head, "Whispering?... Oh! Wait! It was you this morning!"

"Exactly".

"But why were you asking me to pick up the document?"

"Because you need to sign it".

"WHAT!?"

"Aunty, calm down. Chill", she waved Delia down.

"Why should I sign that stupid thing? You're my ego, why are you telling me to go and help a lie? One that makes a mockery of love? And possibly will assist a rich racist".

"Well, first of all, I may be your ego, but I am more. Let's just say, I'm like your guardian".

"Guardian angel?"

"No, not an angel, I'm below them. I'm kind of a connection between you and them... I'm just made to be part of you. To assist you with your abilities positively".

"Hm... Oya na. Hollywood, where are you? I have film for you people", Delia huffed, holding her forehead as she sat on the rock.

"At least you're not trying to kill or buy my soul so... Continue talking. Why should I sign it?" She cupped her jaw, looking at her Ego to continue.

She inhaled, "You need to sign those documents. Yes, it's a lie, but it is the first phase of a huge chunk of your life ahead. One you must not avoid".

"And if I don't?"

"Then you'll never know the truth about your abilities and their limits. And many lives that will most definitely be at stake will be lost".

"Wait, what abilities? Is it not just my dreams, personal demons, and few glimpses of the future or people's lives?" Delia cocked her head.

"It's way more than that, Delia. This is just what you can uncover for now. But signing those papers will help you discover more".

"More JuJu to be following me at night bah?" Delia had on a bored look.

"Well yes, but not in the way you think".

"Then what way?"

"That's for you to find out after you sign the papers. This is all I can tell you. Sign them!" She narrowed her eyes at Delia, who sighed heavily.

Delia sighed again, looking at the ground with a mused expression. She finally looked up at her Ego.

"Come, if you've always been part of me, why only come now that I'm big? Not when I was a kid? Leaving a five-years-old to see demons".

"Because, you needed to fight those battles alone to be as bold as you are today. If I had appeared since then, I would have to tell you everything to do. You needed to handle yourself by yourself".

"Hm... That's harsh".

"You grew with the strong faith you parent taught you, and those experiences made you strengthen your trust and believe in God. As you can see, no harm ever came to you, making you ready for the times ahead".

"Hm! Trouble oo!" Delia ran her hands over her face, exhaling deeply. Surprisingly, even though it was all new at the moment, she wasn't too shocked.

Yes, it has never happened before, but Delia had trained herself not to be too shocked about the supernatural changes in her life... But this one seemed kind of good-ish.

She finally looked at her, scanning the being careful. Delia then said, "Aileed".

"What?"

"Your name. Your name is Aileed".

"What's that?"

"'Delia' spelled backward with double 'e', you're welcome".

Her Ego remained quiet for a few seconds before she nodded, "Okay, better than reflection. I'll take it".

"Do you have a choice?" Delia chuckled, getting up. She dusted her jeans, looking down to see if she dirtied herself.

She looked up, about to speak — Aileed was gone.

Breathy moans and cries resonated off the walls of the large bedroom.

Halima cried out, throwing her head back in pleasure. Dilen laid on his back, holding unto her globe as her hips thrusted back and forth with half his body hidden underneath his blanket.

He sighed, looking up at the ceiling as Halima had her palms on his chest for support. She sough, feeling her core reaching climax.

"I feel like I'm interrupting something".

They froze.

Dilen, with quirked brows, turned to look behind Halima's naked body. He spotted the person by the door.

Halima slowly turned her head in the direction of the third person in the room.

"Delia!?" Halima's eyes peeled wide.

Delia's jaw dropped. "AUNTY HALIMA!!!?"

Halima snapped her head back in front as if she had just seen a ghost. She immediately pulled away from Dilen, pulling the sheets over her head.

Delia's shocked expression started to mix with a devilish smile.

"Ah-ah! You're even the one on top!? So you can knack!? Ah! Aunty!!?" Delia held her waist.

Dilen on the other hand, remained quiet and calm, staring at Delia then back at Halima, wanting to see how the drama will end.

His lips lifted into a grin.

"Halima!" Delia clapped her hands, chuckling, "You that use to tell me how devil has arranged my room in hell because of my dressing! Ah!" Halima remained under the cover shivering.

"Shu! You don't mean it! Ha! Yusuf, I get gist for you! (Yusuf, I have a story for you!)", Delia grinned, trailing her eyes to Dilen. He looked back at her with a calm expression, having the blanket covering his lower body.

Delia shrugged, smiling at him, "Anyways, Mr. Liam, I came here to see you but got bored of waiting. When you are—" she pointed the two naked people on the bed, "—Done? I'll be in the kitchen".

Delia tittered, glancing at the woman under the sheets before turning to the open door. She shut it with a click.

Halima sighed under the sheet, slapping her forehead hard. She then heard Dilen's cold voice.

"Get out!"

"What?" She pulled down the sheet, turning to him.

With a bored look, he got up on his feet and walked to the bathroom door, "Before I'm done, leave".

He shut the door behind him.
