Chapter 3 - Talent

Few more weeks had passed.

I'm currently in middle of the Training ground surrounded by my classmates, Infront of me was a blue haired boy with an arrogant smirk on his face.

What is his name again? Maku? Raku? or something like that?

Well, he was an orphan like me, we live in a similar Orphanage, but while I was labeled as genius by the matron and the sisters, he was labeled as troublemaker brat.

The kid was always jealous at me, taunt me as I always ignore him, as for me he's nothing but a mob character.

Now, in the middle of training ground of each other, He gave me a lame speech about how he'll stamp and humiliate me blah blah, didn't really pay attention to what he's saying as I'm far curious of what clan did he came from?

Others might ignore it and think that his blue hair color was caused by common hair color mutation, but I'm not.

I'm a natural sensor, I awaken it when I'm 3 and since then I've been constantly using it, experimenting and sometimes enhancing it with chakra.

My sensory had now a range of 23 meters in radius, and lately I've even started to sense the quality and quantity of ones chakra.

Like for example, ordinary people had chakra, while minuscule it's still exist. Genin on the other hand was different.

If I were to used number as an analogy. I'll say that ordinary non-shinobi people had 1 chakra, while a genin had 25-50, Chunin had 50 and above.

I had 20 units of chakra currently because of my constant training, our instructor had 55 units, but this kid infront of me had 68 and that was achieved without training or anything.

Unfiar, I know, but considering that a lot of people had it worse than me, I feel better.

Now, back to him, I started to wonder, what clan did he came from? do he have bloodline limit? if he had then I'm going to study it.

(Note: Bloodline Limits (Kekkei Genkai) - are special abilities or bodily constitutions passed down genetically. Generally speaking, only those born into the bloodline possess the potential, although the power level may vary.)

Just as I'm thinking. the instructor begin our sparring "Hajime!"

The kid seems annoyed that I ignore him and rush at me, throw a punch on my face on which I dodge lightly in the last moment, he then throws another punch, i simply redirect it to the side with my right arm.

Seeing that his first two punch didn't land on me, the boy got annoyed then throws a quick left kick, I dodge it in the last minute.

The sparring continue and soon with my 'comprehension' I started to to predict his next moves and soon I started to counter attacking.

This was the Taijutsu style I wanted to developed, I wanted it to be simple, efficient more focus on dodging, redirecting, predicting and countering attacks.

So far, I've manage to build a foundation, unfortunately I can't progress alone as I can only improve through fights.

The sparring continue and soon my brows started to form a frown as I noticed something.. this kids moves started to get more relax and fluid as the fight goes on.. he's improving!

Thinking about it, I couldn't help but to remember my past.

Back then, I've always believe that you can be anything as long as you believe it, you can be a doctor, get a singing lesson, make more money, you can be rich, you can be president one day, it's not up to other people, it's up about you.

Unfortunately, there's the thing called 'Talent'..

Talent is what dictates ones destiny, it is what separates mediocrity and genius. It is the chasm between mediocrity and genius. If hard work can separate the bottom of society from the mediocre, then only when one has 'talent' would he or she be able to detach himself or herself from the masses of mediocrity to elevate himself to the level of genius.

Without 'Talent' your destined to be 'average' and while hardwork might elevate it to 'above average', thing is it won't change the fact that no matter how hard you work others with talent only need less effort to achieve what you had and when that time came, you'll realised how much time and effort you've wasted.

Sighing, I shake my head and decided to end the fight.

I might be talentless in Taijutsu, but I'm still better than most with my comprehension and while inferior, who knows I might started to study the talent code? and unlocked mine?

Side step, grab his collar, flip him over and soon as his back landed on the floor my knuckles were already pointed on his face.

The guy had a confused expressions, but it didn't matter to me, I made a bow and walk towards the corner as Ignore different reactions from my classmates.

"Winner, Haru.!" the instructor announced

End.
