The battle of the bloody rock valley part 7

The battle between the grey skins and the imperial soldiers immediately halted. Soldiers from the allied and imperial sides alike fell down the gorge. The fall was so deep that cries from the falling could be heard for a long time before they hit the bottom. The opposing side's fighters were now the smallest of their problems.

"Pema! We need to flee!" Amala yelled.

Pema looked back as the grey skins ran toward the reawoken god instead of trying to flee. They yelled as loud as they could, begging their god to forgive them. They believed that their god would spare them if they showed remorse and utter zeal.

Segeric watched his soldiers fleeing and his father dying, all in just a span of a minute. He still kept smiling despite all of this.

"It seems that our dance must come to a halt once again," Segeric stated and tried to flee.

The earth opened up between Pema and the prince, each on another side, because of the powers of Dalai. The prince looked back and saw that he was on the same side as the Ghersengs and Amala.

"You are not going anywhere?" Amala said and pointed her bow toward the prince as the Ghersengs readied to kill him.

"Little girl. You really shouldn't do this. There is no reason for this anymore. Your god has reappeared and is literally cracking the earth in two. My father has died most likely, so I also have no reason to keep fighting.....for now," Segeric explained.

Amala didn't lower her bow, and the Ghersengs readied their weapons.

"After working together with some demons has sealed your fate. You traitor to all living beings," Amala threatened and loose her arrow.

The arrow bounced off the prince's flaming armor as the Ghersengs charged him with their glaves and curved blades. Segeric slashed the air with his lance and released such a powerful slashing force that it cut two Ghersengs.

Pema tried to jump over the crack to join the battle, but before he could, flames appeared in front of him. The sentinels of embers had also partially survived and decided to stay and fight. They were extremely loyalists to the emperor, and now as he had died, they chose to die as martyrs on the battlefield.

They created flames with their iron staffs and tried to slash Pema with swords as hot as the embers in a house's fireplace.

Pema dodged them and kneed them so hard that their armor cracked and buckled under the weight of the attack. One tried to come from behind Pema, but he quickly dodged the thrust from the flaming staff, grabbed the sentinel, and threw him so hard to the ground that a small crater formed on the earth.

The sentinels of embers were being pummeled to the ground by Pema, the mightiest of the grey skin warriors. As the sentinels of embers had been defeated, he looked over the other side of the gorge. His veins popped from Pema's eyes as his rage boiled.

Amala was defeated, and the Ghersengs collapsed on the ground. Prince Segeric was too powerful for Amala and the Ghersengs, and when he saw that Pema was done with the sentinels, he just smiled. He placed his foot and held Amala down on the dirt.

He slashed Amala's face right in front of Pema. The heat from his burning lance burnt Amala's face and continued humiliating her by ripping her clothes. She resisted but was not strong enough. The blazing armor of Segeric burned where ever the prince grabbed Amala, and her bow was broken on the ground.

Segeric caressed the naked body of Amala, and as he was forcing his way on her, he stared down at her brother. Provoking him.

Pema was taken over by massive rage and jumped over the gorge the god Dalai had created. As he was rushing to save his sister, Segeric smiled as he had hoped for such a response. Just as he was about to reach to save his sister, Segeric cast away Amala and lunged his lance so hard into Pema that it went through his carbon armor.

"I knew you would do that. Brotherly love.....makes one an idiot," Segeric said, shoving Pema away and moving to kill Amala.

Pema looked dead on the ground as his eyes were open and no movement, but he wasn't. The carbon armor started to spread slowly around his body and Pema's teeth grew larger and sharper.

As the prince was ready to bring down his lance to kill Amala, he felt a beast-like power swelling behind him. He turned back and saw Pema standing upright despite having a hole in his chest.

Inside his chest, Segeric saw the beating heart of Pema, still intact. It had been covered in carbon. The arteries, veins, and all the tissue were made from pure solid graphite and carbon.

Pema's vision started to go dark. Instincts he hadn't felt since he had been a child alone in the mountains before Tenzin had found him. During the time when he was more of an animal than a boy.

Pema's armor started to envelop him, including his face and head. His teeth turned razor sharp, with large front teeth forming like a beast's. He began to look like Tenzin or Tride, but more refined and not as tanky, with slender armor instead. Looking similar to that of Dalai.

Segeric was not impressed and just continued to walk toward Amala to provoke Pema more.

He then moved outstandingly fast and kicked Segeric so quickly and violently that it blasted him over the gorge. The prince was not severely harmed but was shocked, to say the least. The rate at which Pema's power had grown was significant and almost unworldly.

As Segeric was getting back up, still wearing his thick flame armor, Pema quickly jumped over the crack in the earth to the other side. Without hesitation, Pema tried to heel-kick the prince, but he was able to roll out of the way, as he deemed it was too powerful for him to try and block. Segeric tried to get up, but Pema grabbed him by his leg and threw him high in the sky.

As Segeric was too slow to react, he helplessly watched as Pema rag-dolled him. Pema jumped into the air with Segeric and punched hard back into the ground, with not even the prince's armor being able to protect him.

"What the hell happened to you," Segeric said with a smile and watched as Pema growled like a wild animal, "I guess you are not all right in the head."

Pema dashed at the prince and punched him so hard in his face that his flaming helmet vanished like it was cracked open. Pema low kicked Segeric on his thigh, and the prince's bone came out.

The prince was on the verge of death, having swallowed a couple of his teeth, but he still kept smiling. He continued to smile like he was enjoying the entire moment. Pema kept pummeling and hurting the prince, like a beast, trying to kill its prey.

When the prince was too beaten up to even try and resist, Pema grabbed the prince by his hair and started to pull him. He dragged him to the gorge's edge and dangled him from his hair, threatening to drop him. The canyon was so deep that you could not see the bottom. Before he could kill Segeric, Pema started to gain control of his senses. He hesitated, but Segeric wasn't having any of that.

"Do it...."Segeric voiced out.

Pema was slowly wrestling his way to control his sanity. He heard what the prince has said and asked, "Why do you smile all the time? Do you not fear death?"

Still smiling, tears falling from his eyes, "I am afraid, but a child of Emperor Ala can show no fear. For years I hid all my feelings with a smile. Before long I could do nothing else than grin, despite whatever I felt. I am broken, and a broken life is not worth living. So kill me, and end this suffering."

Pema hesitated to drop the prince, but Segeric formed a knife from flames and tried to slash him. He let the prince go and watched as he fell down, still a smile on his face.
