Red Raven Flees

The threat had been averted. Out of 100 invaders, 98 had been killed, while two had fleed, the leader and a random member. Victory was far from sweet as lives were lost, and countless properties had been scorched. Down below, as the healers replenished their energy, more people were healed, untill everyone was attended to.

Sadness was apparent as people embraced each other, grateful that they too hadn't lost their lives. Many were missed, and couldn't be brought back, and as for the village chief, after receiving his full healing, he now had to address the Sunhill villagers.

"My people, although this is a trying time, we must try our best to preserve and move on. This isn't the end, and with the right amount of effort, we can become a stronger people and ensure such a disaster never occours in the future," he declared.

There were many whispers amongst the small crowd, and while the chief was about to delegate a few orders, someone spoke up from the crowd.

"But isn't this The Great One's fault, village chief?"

"Yes, it is. He was the one who ordered us to do all this!"

"You're right. He told us what to do, and we obeyed him like we always do, yet this is how he repays us?!"

Everyone seemed upset, and by the worried look of the village chief, it was clear he didn't know how to handle the situation. What his people thought of their god wasn't something he could control, neither was his wrath they would incur if they kept on disrespecting him.

"Last I checked I eat you on Fridays, why must we do a reversal?!" Kyle was having trouble dodging the fireballs as his body slowly grew sluggish, but it seemed the Phoenix had no intention of stopping anytime soon.

"You have blasphemed me, and now, you must pay!" the attacks only seemed to be getting worse, and Kyle wasn't going to have any of it.

"Alright, fine! I'm sorry!"

"Apologize harder!" Hector roared.
